"Pedophilia is not good TV"

I don't like introducing this story line. I know that it is a serious problem and I not advocating that the issue be swept under the rug, but perhaps a racy soap opera isn't the best place. Honestly, I find the story line disturbing and I generally watch this show to be entertained and not for any socially redeeming value.

That and, how unrealistic is it that the pedophile would have up pictures of half-naked little kids in plain sight. Wouldn't that tend to scare off the intended victims?

On top of that we have a half-arsed attempt at interesting with Gabby going back to NYC but they kill that sideline before it even goes anywhere.

After a really intense show last week, I'm not sure where this show is going and nothing in last nights episode insprired confidence in the rest of the season.

I don't like it either, PRE. I was discussing it this morning with the girl in my office and both of us are wondering if the obviousness of the situation will lead somewhere different.

Thanks Tribe!

Definitely gave that some thought, but I certainly haven't been able to come up with any viable alternative theories that fit the toys and the naked boy pictures.

Didn't Lynette tell Parker that he was a swimming coach at the Y or something? For some reason I was thinking I heard that last night when he was being introduced as Protecterman. That could explain the pictures, swimming kids that he has taught over the years.

She did say that. I don't think we have it on Tivo now, but I don't think the kids were nude in the pictures on his wall.

I don't think so, either. Shirtless, but not nude.

They were definitely 'just' shirtless, but they can't very well have nude kids on TV.

Who knows, I could be surprised. I hope that I will be.

Oh, I know they obviously couldn't show nude kids on tv...I just mean that they seemed to have made a point to show that the kids had bottoms on, so maybe Lynette is wrong.
'Course, he looked like a perv to me.

I agree also PRE. Let's all hope that they are just going to let Lynette go down that thought process for a while, and in the end the wall of pictures is just kids he has taught, like the wall of smiling toothy kids at the dentist.
