LAST EDITED ON 12-05-05 AT 04:18 PM (EST)So, last nights episode was pretty good. It is certainly moving some storylines along quite quickly. It seems that we finally see where Bree's storyline is headed. As we all kinda knew, Andrew is back and ready to enact revenge on his mom, and now she has given him the opportunity he needs to do so. Although, according to the previews he will only be blackmailing her, I bet the police will become involved eventually.
So it was Gabby who had her husband hospitalized in order to keep him from going to Bosnia. (Wow, who knew you can get out of prison so quickly then fly off to other countries so soon!) I thought it was kind of bittersweet to see her love him enough to now want him around, but only so he wouldn't fall out of love with her if he actually changed. Glad to see that while the writers are giving her character a little more depth this season, they are still able to keep her very superficial overall.
Lynette seems to be doing well at her job and Susan's interaction with her new father is not as annoying to me as was her relationship with her mom.
Speaking of Susan, I was glad to see Mike for a little bit last night and interacting with Paul for a change. Not sure what to make of Zac's return as they haven't focused on it much so far. But my biggest laugh of the night was Edie's quick quip "well I guess that says it all" to Susan. In regards to Whore being written on her garage door.
Glad the Applewhite storyline continues to evolve. Wonder who the new guy is that is there to get Caleb? Does anyone have the story on him?

I thought lastnight's episode was ok. Like you said it advanced story lines but wasn't as dramatic as last week's show. My favorite line was from Gabby in the Church when she was talking to Carlos about Sister Mary and she called her Sister perpetual stick up her butt.
Also, I am just glad we didn't have to put up with George.

I had forgotten about the teaser about the medical form. So I was thinking that Gabby was going to do something with the parole officer in order to keep Carlos from going. And I still think Sister Mary is not hot. She's sort of a cross between Renee Zelwegger and that porn star from the movie, "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle." What is her name? Rebecca something.I am enjoying the Susan storyline. I wonder if she will wind up preggers with Carl's baby or if that little tidbit will just rest or rear its head later on.
And I am always glad to see something going on in the Applewhite story. Perhaps this new guy is a bounty hunter hired by the girl's family. Or perhaps he is related to the girl.

I was wondering if the guys that were after Caleb could actually be the ones responsible for killing the girl. And that Caleb saw everything, so they were after him to make certain that he keeps quiet about what he saw.

i like that idea--i wish they would focus on the Applewhites a little more--their storyline is interesting. i would also love to see Bree's reaction to Matthew and Danielle dating.
samboohoo--i have been trying to figure out who the creepy nun reminds me of--and that is definitely it.

arkiegrl 2005i think Rebecca De Mornay was in The Hand that Rocks the Cradle and Traci Lords was a porn star--they do look a lot alike though.

i wish they would focus on the Applewhites a little moreActually, I hope they keep only giving small doses. I remember how the Paul and Zach story was spread out over the whole season -- each episode only having a tiny hint or reminder -- with a few "revealation" moments scattered around.
I wanted more Applewhites, too, until I remembered the way the handled the Youngs. I hope they keep it fresh by doling out a little at a time.
This past episode was good, I think. I don't like the nun. I think she's just bad.

>"I was wondering if the guys that were after Caleb could
>actually be the ones responsible for killing the girl . . . " That's an intersting twist. Except that Caleb said earlier in the season that she was a bad girl who deserved to die. I thought maybe Ironsides was sent by the girl's family to track him down & kill him for justice for the girl.
This last ep was okay -- hard to beat last week's drama. I am continually so annoyed with Andrew's vendetta against Bree -- does he not remember when he ran down Carlos' mother that it was Bree who helped him cover up HIS crime? Hello, if your mother really despises you, Andrew, she would have let you go to jail. But I guess Andrew's evil plan is to help make interesting T.V. I was shocked Bree told Andrew the truth about George, though.
I'm looking forward to next week & the kiss between Gabrielle & Tom -- THAT IS GOING TO BE GREAT!!! Lynette v. Gaby could be great fun to watch
Glad Susan is getting less annoying. Happy to FINALLY see more of the Applewhites & can't wait to see where the Mike/Paul/Zach storyline goes.

does he not remember when he ran down Carlos' mother that it was Bree who helped him cover up HIS crime?Andrew's only concern is Andrew. He was shown as having no remorse for killing Carlos' mother, I think the line was something to the effect of "She was old. I still have my life ahead of me." I'm still waiting for that cover up to come up again and bite Andrew in the butt.
He has selective memory, for sure. Remember how angry he was with his mother dating George last season when Bree and Rex were separated and while Rex was recovering from the first heart attack. Bree told Andrew that Rex was the one cheating with the prostitute, and Andrew was still ticked at Bree, not his father.

I'm still waiting for that cover up to come up again and bite Andrew in the butt. I think that is the trump card Bree will use to get out of Andrew's little plan.

I finally blogged

I've also been waiting for the hit&run to come back into the plot & wondered if the writers forgot about it. I agree with Vols that Bree will probably use to to try to get through Andrew's thick skull that she covered up for him, because she really does love him.Andrew is a little Jeffrey Dahmer in the making, I think . . . Lynette better keep an eye on her little boys.

WAIT!
I have watched every episode and the only time I miss something is when my little mermaids (ages 4 and 8) call me away during my show. This must have been what happened here because I do NOT remember a kiss between Tom and Gabrielle. It must have been in the previews for next week, right? Can anyone clue me in on this???

Is there someone who DID see the kiss between Tom and Gabby who can give us a little more info? I just don't see those two fooling around with one another. Gabby seems way too materialistic to go for a guy with no money and lots of kids. (not to mention that it IS her friend's husband, although that part she might not have a problem with).
If they do kiss I wonder if that means Carlos does go away again? Since that would leave both she and Tom with some time on their hands (since I guess his kids will soon be in daycare).

The kiss was in the previews for the next ep -- it's been so long, it's getting hazy. It looked like it happened with others around & a spur-of-the-moment, more of a joke, rather than a passionate, steamy kiss. I can only remember the look of fear in Tom's eyes while being kissed & the look of extreme jealousy by Lynnette.I got the impression it was innocent, joking flirtation by Gaby that is misconstrued by Lynnette causing a rift. It was a really quick preview. Sorry I don't remember more
. It looked like we're going to see some serious claws come out, though

I just watched my third full episode and I am already hooked. I cannot wait for Sunday night to come. Its like crack. I wish I had started watching this last season, then I wouldn't ask so many questions to the die hard fans I watch it with. I love most of the characters on the show. I am not sure who my favorite housewife is yet but, it is leaning towards Gabby or Lynette. I don't know. It has so many twists and crazy storylines. It is great!!!!
