While the characterization and development of some of the characters (Ben, for instance) has been great, I feel like the writers have mistreated/underused several of their stars and supporting cast throughout the course of the show.

Charlie was written pretty unevenly at some points, particularly in season 2. I went back and forth from liking him to hating him, and when I liked him again he died.

Claire's main problem was that they never gave her anything to do, except shout "My baaaaaby!" and be in distress. Michael had the same issue to some extent (Waaaaalt!). But, she is tied to two seemingly pivotal characters (Aaron and Christian), so she'll hopefully be important in season 6.

Charlotte and Miles- Charlotte was a complete waste. They gave her nothing to do and then she was dead, despite her fledgling romance with Daniel and interesting back story. Miles, after an intriguing introduction, has just been along for the ride for the past 20 episodes or so. Throw us a bone, writers!

Juliet- they haven't given Juliet a whole lot to do for a long time, except get yanked around by the tired Jack/Kate/Sawyer love quadrilateral of doom... now I'm worried they're going to get rid of her to clear the way for Sawyer to get back with Kate. Hopefully she'll at least get to punch Jack in the face again. That would be awesome.

Libby- obviously. Surely she fits into this puzzle somehow... get Cynthia Watros on board and write something compelling!

I'm also curious about Cindy and the other 815 survivors who joined the Others-- I don't want this to be another dropped plot thread. I want to know why they were chosen and what happens to them.

I loved Charlie! Between his back story and his love for Claire, I could not help but shed many a tear when he died. Which makes me wonder about when Charlie went to visit Hurley at the mental hospital (after Charlie was dead). He claimed - and if memory serves, proved - to actually be there. Maybe we will see Charlie again? I can only hope that if Locke can do it, Charlie can, too!

I like Miles a lot (especially after his time discussion with Hurley). Luckily, from the previews for next episode, it looks like Miles will play a bigger role.

Miles Straum is a great character who has a great name and is played by a great actor. It looks like next week will be his back story.... plus, I am pretty sure that the baby of Dr. Pierre Chang (Marvin Candle or Edgar Halliwax or Mark Wickmund) shown in the first episode of this season was baby Miles. I think he will prove to be important.

Where are Rose and Bernard??

Libby!! How can we forget that she was in the same institution as Hurley, she's on the island with Hurley and then hooks up with him. Also, she gives Desmond, a total stranger, her dead husband's boat to sail around the world in and it just happens to bring him to the island... There was some talk about how they would delve deeper into Libby's backstory but then they ran out of time or something like that. Well, I would really like to know!

Walt - All this talk about how Walt is special so special. The Others kidnap him and then they just let him go. If he was so special, why didn't he return to the island? I remember someone saying (Ben?) that everyone had to go back so why is Walt the exception? It's like the show doesn't know what to do with such an older looking Walt so it is just easier to deal with him that way. Cop-out!

Young Danielle - The whole thing on how she arrived on the island, to how she killed the others, to how Alex was kidnapped was too rushed.

Mr. Ecko - I know he wanted to leave the show but I was sorry to see him go. He was such a compelling character with a very interesting back-story. I was always amazed that he ended up on the same island where his dead brother crashed.

i.e. "Oh, and Libby says Hi." from the Anna Lucia scene where the motorcycle cop pulls over Hurley.

Walt has to be reincorporated into the story. We know he was special, but we need to know why the Others wanted him.

Rose and Bernard - Is it possible that they are Adam and Eve?

Claire also needs some more development. Where is she now and why did she abandon Aaron to follow Christian?

Loved Miles's story. He is a fantastic character, the one whose brain I would most like to pick.

Lapidus - surely he is more important to the island than we've been led to believe thus far.

It's my belief that Cindy and the other tailies were brought to the temple or another site for quick "reprogramming". They seemed to fit in with the Others very quickly.

Interesting. However, DH is almost convinced Adam and Eve are Kate and Jack.
