But after next week's episode there will be no new episode until January 11th.

Thanks PM!
That's only four days before the two-hour season premiere of 24.

Thanks PM!
Oh, good. There are too many shows on that I'm watching right night. Even DVR'ing them, I still am struggling to find time to watch them all before the next week. Maybe I can catch up over the holidays.![]()

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
So...they take three weeks off, do three episodes, and then take another 6-week break...great.

Four weeks - a new episode this week and a new one next week and then off.The reason they took the time off in October was so they could have brand new episodes each week of November sweeps. The gap now at least has the benefit of meaning there should only be one post Sweeps repeat gap between January and the end of the season.
It's things like this that make me really appreciate the approach 24 takes - start later, but run the entire season with no repeats.

Thanks PM!
It's a six week wait for us.New episode Nov. 30.
Reruins on the four Wednesdays in Dec.
Another reruin Jan. 4.
And a week later, a new episode.Audience killers.

Yes, but we had four weeks of original shows, not three.Neener neener!
I'm not entirely certain we even get reruns - ABC is moving Alias back to Wednesdays in December, and I haven't heard the timeslot - it might make sense to put it there in Lost's slot.
At least they're not waiting until May sweeps.

Dweezil, Alias is taking over Invasion's spot at 10pm. So it looks like Lost leftovers for this holiday season.
That is very very bad news. My christmas season is ruined. Damn it!A whole month of Lost withdrawl. What to do? What to Do?

This sucks the big one. I was away for 2 weeks so I missed some great stuff and now this. Oh, the humanity.

Shades of Twin Peaks. Next thing you know, they will move it to Saturday Nights.
Or maybe they will just cram all the "revelations" into one final mid-season episode, ending for once and for all with Matthew Fox -- out of character -- telling us all about some final, pivitol mystery live from a stadium somewhere. No show's ever done that before; it would be so groundbreaking.
Can we call in and get some random prize amount? That could be a fun use of the numbers.
I'm kind of glad - I missed the last half of last week's episode (ergh!!!), so hopefully that will be one of the reruns. I don't mind having some reruns to let me re-watch them to see if I missed anything.
LAST EDITED ON 11-28-05 AT 05:58 PM (EST)Surely no one here is surprised? I knew it without having to confirm it. I will continue to watch this show, but it is no longer something I look forward to. It's not worth it, for what I get. I don't think I've ever had the experience where a show has delayed gratification in such a way for so long only to give back so little.

I don't think I've ever had the experience where a show has delayed gratification in such a way for so long only to give back so little."The Sopranos"?
A show which I have not given a shit about for two years now.
"Twin Peaks"?
Where I wasted a year and a half of my life.
Sorry Tahj!
As much as I hate the fact that this Wednesday's ep. will be the last till Jan.11th, I truly do believe that "LOST" has NOT given back so little. It's a 5 year plan.
The Producers have been up-front with us.
The story-line has NOT been disappointing.
Nothing, so far, has been too "out there"!In MY humble opinion?
"LOST" is the best show in in the history of television!!!!
Lost with PhoenixMons!
Oh, I know I'm in the minority Wanda, and, as I've said, I'll continue to watch. I know the producers have been up front about the plan for the series, but there are many ways to execute such a plan and my disagreement and disappointment is with the execution of that plan.

No Lost, no Prison Break, No Amazing Race, No 24. *Sigh*

I just hope they re-run last weeks episode. My older sister badgered Nolay to turn it on (we were having Thanksgiving dinner that night...but we were done eating!). He wouldn't. Shame on Nolay for thinking family time was more important.

This is seriously the reason that I decided to not watch any new series this year. I heard that Invasion was good, Earl too. Why get hooked on a show only to have it bounce around time slots, be in reruns or get cancelled. If it is good, I can wait for the DVD. I think the Networks are shooting themselves in the foot.
