After watching this week's episode, in which Ana Lucia details what happened to 12 of the 23 tail section survivors (3 taken the first night, 9 taken two weeks later), I've got yet another question: Where are the other 5 tailies?

We were told by Libby that there were 23 who survived in the tail section. There are 6 people who we've seen living in the bunker. Presuming all 6 of them were on the plane (I'm still not sure about Mr. Eko), that leaves 5 unaccounted for.

Are some of them at the broadcast tower, and, if so, was it one of them on the other end of Boone's transmission from the drug plane? Did they break off and go elsewhere on the island (like the fusies split up between the inland camp and the beach)? Did they die of the "sickness" Desmonde and Danielle keep chirping about? Did they build their own raft and set out to sea?

What about the guy with the stake through his chest? His name was Goodwin. Would he be included in one of the attacks or was he a single incident?

Or maybe AL was talking only about those that were taken and not those who died either by some other way, like the woman who drowned swimming.

Didn't they disappear as Michael, Jin, and Sawyer were being taken to the tailies' camp? They got there and Ana-Lucia was wondering why there were people missing. Libby was there and said "I don't know, they were here earlier" or something, and then they left. Maybe they were taken by the Others as well? Or maybe I'm thinking of something that's way off the mark, lol.
