So far, I only know you can click the logo to get to a log-in screen. I will try to investigate further, but computing is'nt really my best skill

Weird. Lars sounds Swedeish....I mentioned on the Dharma thread that one of the domian extensions for Dharma is a www.*.se . Could this red herring be a clue?

Hanso does too, or Scandanavian at least. Or of course it could sound Korean!

there's an id number etched on the back of the computer in the picture, but I don't know what you could use for a login.

LAST EDITED ON 10-11-05 AT 03:26 PM (EST)

Following Pooh's suggestion, I input 62342 as the ID# and tried several names as the login, starting with Lars Tornqvist.

Then I selected the "lost login" option and input 62342 and my email address. This is the email I received from the Hanso Foundation (I copied as is, misspellings included ) :

So, do we think this is part of the Lost/ABC production, or the brainchild of a rabid fan?

ETA - Is this our Jin?

the spelling and awkward wording make me think it's a fan site, but who knows? you are like Nancy Drew Augie!

That's what I thought, but maybe the spelling and grammar is to throw us off?

I'm like Nancy Drew? Sweeeeeeet! I always wanted to be Nancy Drew.

I did a DNS whois look up.

It tracks more like a privately owned site (not back to abc.com) but it was registered back in August, so who knows

that date is suspicious isn't it. Do you want to be Donna Parker Snidget - then we'll have all the girl detectives covered.

Not to break up this estrogen party, but the Hardy Boys did some darn good sleuthing themselves, ya know.

I assumed this site was spam. Go figure.

Well, it sure wasn't a Hardy Boy who figured out how to get the email from the site.

MRC, I picture you as more of a Shaggy -- As in Scooby Do's Shaggy.

Yes, this is Jin's full name according to the ABC Lost site. Still not sure if this is just a crazy fan site.

"Why Jin?"
Posted by trigirl on 10-13-05 at 08:24 AM
If you are creating a hoax company website, why Jin? Jin worked for Sun's father and wasn't exactly working in the office.

The jig is up. When you click on the link you get several facts about the hits on the website. Good stuff : )

If you log in now, this is what you'll find:

Yeah, it was a fake Lost site. Surprise? Guess not

During the uptime the site recieved 914 uniqe visitors.

- Of these, 67 entered the correct ID# and recieved
a fake e-mail message from Hanso Foundation.
(Yeah I know the spelling and grammar was yucky. I wrote it at 2 AM *yawns*)

- Visitors made a average stay of 0 minutes and 51 seconds.

- A total of 3721 log-in attempts were made (an average 4,07 per visitor)

- During peak-hour (or rather peak-sixth of an hour), approximately 2 hours after leaking the site on forums,
the site recieved one new visitor every third second.

- 12 persons contacted me via MSN, inquiring me about Dharma.

- Suprisingly, 0 wierd phonecalls in the middle of the night.

The site will remain shut-down, awaiting the launch of LarsTornqvist.com v2.0
