Its aliens.All Aliens.

Aliens will somehow be tied into the show... These people are being tested probably not even on a real island but hooked up to machine on a spaceship.

Or maybe the government.

Oooh, yeah...I can see them all being hooked up to some machine with those virtual reality mask thingies on, thinking they are actually manuevering around the island when they are really strapped down to a gurney type thing. hehehehehe...but I'd guess the government, not aliens.

Weird.

I'm thinking the Matrix where they're all hooked up for some sadistic government experiment.

Then...

I'm also thinking The Truman Show where all the people are cast members. Maybe they drugged certain people on that flight and programmed their minds to think they were on a plane crash.
