Found this on another site. Very cool. Play around on the site. Lots of hidden stuff.
http://www.oceanic-air.com/seatingchart.htm

Click the numbers at the bottom of the chart in the order of the lost numbers (4 8 15 16 23 42) and you will see a 'preview' for the next season.

Hmmm, I couldn't see where you would put those numbers in, but the site was extremely slow (must have a lot of traffic on there right now.) I'll try and explore more later. But thanks for the link!

Ok, I got it now! DUH! Wow! Well, in the preview, they specifically say "the other side of the island" and they show Sawyer running and I think I saw Jin too so we know they survived...

not sure how i got to it, but after clicking around on the seating chart, it highlighted charlie's seat in 29c. clicked on that and some sort of scribbled notes popped up...then a backstage pass.

if i figure out how to do it i'll post, and please do let everyone know what else you find hidden there!

Charlie's seemingly popped up at random for me...then I refreshed and a different seat popped up: 27G.

Mars, Edward (must be the Marshal's name)
cause when you click on it, up pops an orange seat right next to it...
Ryan, Kate 27H (nothing when I click on her seat)
*third time I refreshed and got to Kate's seat, a couple of Kate mugshots popped up, then some sort of paper that said the name Kathryn Dodd (her real name finally?) on it - something about case work I think.

Clicking randomly around the plane I get

Rutherford, Shannon 9F (as far as I can tell, nothing happens when you click on her seat)

Sheppard, Jack 23A - something funky happens when you click Jack's seat...

Then when you click a second time, up pops a green seat with no name and next to it is an orange seat with Rose, 23D

Locke, John 24D
a quick flash of four images (one of which is a collection of knives) and a really annoying screeching sound

Carlyle, Boone 9E
scary b/w pic of Boone

(now when I click on Shannon's seat, there's a very very faint image popping up near her seat...it's barely noticeable, but it's flashing very quickly...)

Can't get anything else to happen yet...

*oh got something else interesting...a map of the island appeared when I clicked a random seat on the plane...there are lots of little notes scrawled across the map - all in French, of course...used babelfish on it...some of it I know is not quite right (cote = coast, but babelfish says 'dimension')

face au vent = vis-a-vis

a des reflets d'argents la mer reflets changeant = with the wind money reflections the sea reflections has changing

au bord de la tang(?) une internite(?) regret bleu = at the edge of the tang a intermitte blue regret

cote de moustiques = mosquito coast

la mer savon voit danser le long des golfes clairs a des reflets d'argents la mer = the sea soap sees dancing along the clear gulfs has money reflections the sea

cote sauvage = wild coast

vents d' ouest = west winds

versant expose = esposed slope

recifs coralliens = coral reef

there is also an image of a boat on the map (near the coast)...maybe the 'pirate' ship that the Raft 4 met up with

Took a while before any green seats popped up at all, though...

Warning....there are two different ways that will lead you into a new ABC Lost message board. All of the evil trolls from the original board are there and nasty as always. To bad because the look of the board is very cool.

"RE: What I've got so far..."
Posted by J I M B O on 05-26-05 at 09:21 PM

clicking on the marshall's just gets you a flickering id of him, and then an apparently dead him.

kate's at first does nothing, but it also will turn the outline of the plane icon into her toy plane when the cursor is over it. must lead to something, but not sure what...i'm thinking i need to hold the cursor over the plane, then tab over to kate's seat...or jack's maybe.

shannon's you have to click more than once. it is a passport photo of an arabic male, not sure if sayid. the seats cover a lot of it, can't make out anything useful.

jack's eventually starts this dance of vodka bottles. i'm thinking the pattern of how they appear is telling of something, but i've tried to repeat the sequence with the row numbers and can't get anywhere.

the annoying thing is that it sometimes takes a while to get the results going...which makes progress slow.

if you hold down the cursor and drag one seat to another, it changes color. according to the legend, that would represent 'reserved'. i tried reserving all seats (yes, that took a while), with no results. at one point i started to hear some sound, but i was going too fast and it went away.

maybe reserve the seats of main characters? dunno.

i've also gotten rose's seat to appear, but all she says is that her husband started giving her his wedding ring during flight travel...and a gold ring drops down the page.

OH, almost forgot. i think it was shannon's seat that at one point gave a map. didn't mean much to me, but looked like it has some invisible ink in the background or something.

damn, i could do this all day.

I finally got the Shannon one to pop up, and it looks like Sayid to me. **Says last name: Jarrah, father's name Hassan (got this the second time when it stayed on the screen)

Also got Claire's journal through Charlie's seat and I did a screen capture of it before it disappeared and can read almost all of it...

So, waiting at the airport is always such fun. Not. Toilets are really, really gross, too. I have to pee like every 10 seconds. Stupid baby. I shouldn't say that. I hope to sleep as much as I can on the plane. So nervous last night I didn't sleep, couldn't.

I hate the steward/stupid dude at the desk thingy before you get on the plane... "no you can certainly not move to a higher class - we are too full" - such an a$$ about it...bet he's full of it, too.

Then there's a picture of what looks like Claire and Charlie with Charlie's face scratched out. I suppose it could be the baby's father since you can't see the face...but it looks like Charlie to me.

If you go to track flights, the information for Flight 815 says
Flight # 815 Status - Alert Departure - SYD Scheduled time - 14:04 Actual time - 14:08 Gate - 15 Arrival - LAX Sceduled time - 03:16 Actual time - 03:23 Gate - 42

These stats take all the numbers into consideration, but didn't the show have them leave from Gate 23, not 13. Plus, what is up with an actual arrival time?

"RE: www.oceanic-air.com"

when i first saw Gate 15 scheduled, i didn't think that was where they showed Hurley going in. wonder if that means anything.

"RE: www.oceanic-air.com"
Posted by Lost on 05-27-05 at 03:29 PM
I've read on another site the belief is that there was two planes, hence two gate numbers. If you read what the president of oceanic air writes about the "tragedy" he doesn't say plane crash, dissapearance, etc. just tragedy. Also, if you play around with Jack's seat the flight number appears to change from 815 to 777.

That is what I thought as well I found this site http://www.uk-air.net/seatplan.htm which has the seat plans for quite a few 777's.

There are some different patterns, none that match the 815 plan, but similar enough that you could put that many rows and that number of seats across in a 777.

Maybe thats one of the mysteries! Maybe the reason it shows 2 gates is because there were 2 exact same flights with the exact same people on it. Maybe everyone made it to LA and their "twins" all crashed on this island and don't realize that they really are back in civilization!

Am I completely stretching now or what?

Shoot, just typed this all in and it went into Never Never Land! Here it is again:

In the pink script that is hidden in the home page under the president's message is the following about the monster:

-- CHARLIE FALLS!

And then, as he turns around to meet his inevitable fate, he sees something no one has ever seen --

THE MONSTER

Holy, Freakin, Lord.

Huge. Mechanical AND biological. Godlike and profane. A massive, multi-tentacled robotic be ** resembling a primordial mapinguari -- only partially obscured in a cloud of acrid smoke!

And off Charlie -- a look of absolute fear on his face unlike anyone could ever imagine --

CUT TO BLACK:

END OF ACT SIX

In the margins in red ink:

NO! NO! NO!! NO MAPINGUARI! NOT YET!

So, if you want to read about the Mapinguari, a South American urban legend, go to http://www.texasbigfoot.com/discover1.html.

"...horrible soul-wrenching humanlike cry... Covered in long red hair, standing more than 6 feet on its hind legs, emanating a stench so foul it disorients everyone in sniffing distance, the mapinguari is reputed to be the wildest, rarest, most mysterious and terrifying denizen of the rain forest. It is said to avoid water, to wander with roving herds of white-lipped peccaries (note: translate boars) and to protect them, to forage at night, to twist huge palm trees apart with its massive claws so it can feast on the soft insides, to have backward-turned feet, and to be generally immune to bullets. The mapinguari is also said to be another Bigfoot..."

Hi all

Couple of things - the seating configuration for Jack's seat number on the seating plan is 3-3-3
Can anyone confirm that in the series when they showed him on the plane he was in what looked like a business class 2-2-2 seating arrangement? (ie 2 seats together?)
From memory seat 23A in a 777 would be in business class. Here it is economy?

The rest of the stuff you have all come up with is great and will keep me amused for hours......

Did not know where to put this but during ABC's Dancing With the Stars there was an Oceanic Air comercial. No reference to Lost, just a blurb and the website address.

I guess ABC is pushing the website to keep people interested? Is this kind of like an online game now?

"Frequent flyer email that I signed up for..."

LAST EDITED ON 07-20-05 AT 09:08 PM (EST)

This came today

Dear Frequent Flyer -

Welcome to Oceanic Airlines -- and thank you for signing up for a weekly bulletin from the writers of "Lost."

We have just reconvened to begin work on Season 2 of the series - after some much-needed vacation and a highly eventful first year that began with the crash of Oceanic Airlines 815 and literally ended with a bang as Jack, Locke and Kate blew open the mysterious hatch while young Walt was kidnapped by The Others... and yes, they were The Others!

As we set out to dramatize such mysteries as the contents of the mysterious hatch and the uncertain fate of Michael, Sawyer and Jin, last seen treading water among the burning remains of the raft -- we thought you might want to know the writers who will be responsible for bringing you the answers -- and a whole lot of new questions -- during the second season.

In addition to series creators J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse returns as executive producer. "Lost" is a reunion for Cuse and Lindelof - who worked together on Cuse's creation "Nash Bridges" (Cuse also created "Martial Law" and co-created "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr"). Before co-creating "Lost," Lindelof served as writer/producer on "Crossing Jordan."

New additions to the staff include co-executive producer Steven Maeda, whose previous credits include "The X-Files" and "CSI: Miami," supervising producer Craig Wright, who previously wrote for HBO's "Six Feet Under," and producer Elzabeth Sarnoff, whose previous credits include "Deadwood" and "Crossing Jordan."

Returning from season one are supervising producers Leonard Dick, whose credits include "Fastlane" and "Hack," Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, formerly of "Felicity" and "Popular," and Javier Grillo-Marxuach who previously wrote on "Boomtown" and "The Pretender."

With this team in place, you can be sure that "Lost" will pack on the surprises on year two. As a Frequent Flyer, you will receive regular updates from the writers room -- so watch your inbox...

...and thank you for getting lost with us!

ETF. Leonard's last name so it shows up.

There's drawings.

An envelope addressed to Walt with writing in place of a return address.

Sorry Lost, not much attention here until the season nears I guess. I've only ventured over here once or twice in the last couple months myself.

But certainly feel free to come play over at the Off-Topic forum. There's good stuff every day on OT!!

My apologies if this is useless, but I haven't seen it mentioned:

In checking the flight status, one flight's status bar reads "Give us the boy."

Also, if you click on Pre-Board Check-In, then drag and drop the letters into the boxed to read "other man," you get a quick view of Walt's abduction.

I know, Huh! I dragged and dropped the letters in the boxes in the original sequence, but nothing happened. I was wondering what else to do with the letters, and even thought about rearranging them, but I didnt know what else to arrange them to.

Dear All,
I'm from the UK, and we've only seen 3 episodes of Lost so far, but I'm completely hooked. From reading various boards, I've made a few observations on the oceanic-air.com site - apologies if these have been covered before, but we in the UK are a little behind the curve with regard to Lost!

1. Along the lines of reading the text messages behind the Chairman's announcement, if you click and drag to select the text, then past it into Word, you get two pencil drawings of New York. I have saved these as a JPG image - I hope this works:

2. If you perform a Google search on "flight 815 tragedy", the top link is the DriveShaft band pages (www.driveshaftband.com), plenty of interesting material there.

Hope this is interesting for the folks out there

Best wishes,

Nick

Now you can 'Explore' the island and get a clip from Season 2. It's a teaser about going into the hatch, and someting happens to the person going in.
http://oceanicflight815.com
Click on Explore, and white dots will appear beside it, one is for the Hatch, and it's a 'play connect the dots' and will take you eventually to the teaser. If you 'play' all the dots, you'll get different things, the compass, the backgamon game, etc. Go try it out, it's fun. lol

I tried it, and since I am on dialup, it took awhile. Each white dot you click on will download 10 seconds of different episodes from the past.
When you get to the part where you look down at a raft floating on the beach, with 4 people on the beach, click and drag the people on to the raft, then the raft floats out..... Oh, yes this website was lots of fun..... I can't wait to do it again cause I wanna see the raft float off once more...

I finally got to the teaser at the end and it was,
spoiler information invisible text follows:
a 20 second movie clip of Kate going down into the hatch. Before she goes down the ladder, she asks Locke if he's sure this is a good idea. Locke says "No...." She climbs down the ladder and has some kind of trouble, falls, screams... and then Locke has a puzzled look on his face...
Thanks for sharing packrat. I never saw the Compass game, however when I go thru the site the next time I'm sure it'll turn up.
Thanks again packrat, and Congrats on 100 Posts!

Under 'Explore' and 'Hatch', when I clicked on the 5th white dot, there was a shotgun shell and I clicked on that and it took me to the 6th white dot where there was a sort of shoot 'em up game. Move your cursor to the left or right and the shotgun and scenery move appropriately. There's a patch of long grass about in the middle of the scenery and if you shoot into there, you'll hear a growl and see parts of a polar bear appear.

I'm not sure what was right to do there, but I shot a number of rounds into the grass and eventually a fact sheet about polar bears appeared and that was the end of that little game.

What's with the Pre-Board Check-in? Ethan Rom comes up, along with corresponding squares where you can drag the letters of his name. Has anyone made any sense of this yet?

LAST EDITED ON 09-03-05 AT 12:03 PM (EST)

Drag the letters into the boxes to spell out Other Man and you'll get a preview for season 2. Do you know about clicking on Hurley's numbers under the squares for the seats? If you click on those in order, you'll get another preview. You may also see an F flickering behind the number 42 down by Economy Class, click on it you'll get a different preview. There are alot of things to discover on that site, so have fun.

Added: Some are previews and some are clips from season 1. Has anyone walked the swinging bridge yet?
