The Donald has been taking bets on "The $100,000 Apprentice Challenge" game at his Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City, (since January).

Looks like you can get paid for "picking the bootee" at Donalds place. Cool.

I would think that it would be considerd highly questionable to engage in betting regarding an event in which you personally can control or influence the outcome?

But we are talking about the Donald here. Regular rules don't apply.
Or to give him the benefit of the doubt, the betting may have started with even odds for everyone getting the boot or winning and are only changing with the amounts bet for each one.

The "outcome" was already determined months ago, the show filmed last fall, there's nothing left to "influence"

My understanding is that the final two contestants will learn on April 15th along with the rest of us on live TV who actually wins the job? Sounds like some uncertainty to me? Remember, Troy is still cautiously optomistic that he will win.

There's no more "uncertainty" here than there is as to who won CBS's currently airing Survivor show. The outcome is determined (via secret ballot, etc.) before the series ends but the contestants are just not made aware of it. I'd expect that as with Survivor, the last two contestants only know that they are the last two contestants, but that doesn't mean the winner was not already determined.

Mark Burnett knows who won, I'm sure he made Trump make his selection back when the show ended.

There is no way in hell that Mark Burnett is going to edit 16 episodes of this show without knowing the "ending" to his "story," he simply doesn't work that way...

Leave it to Trump to gamble on a sure thing for himself. If this is any more successful than his other ventures, I postulate he bet on Sam.
