Who says they failed? They sold out for more than they paid for it, at least as I heard it. Did you hear otherwise?
The Forbes article mentioned thatLandruLandry's restaurants bought the Golden Nugget ("jewel of a faded downtown)for 140 million in cash, plus assumed 155 million in debt. Here is the link:
