"Hamster Phantasy: A Game"

...a game to play as a diversion to gouging your eyes out while watching the newest season of Big Brother play out on your home screens.


The rules to the game are simple.
The cast will be known as hamsters and your job is to pick the best phantasy team of hamsters to help accrue the most amount of points by the end.
Each new player (you) will have a phantasy team roster with 4 slots available.
Pick the 4 hamsters that you think will help make you the most points.

The possible points are...

Wins Head of Household (HOH): 20 points
Is named MVP (MVP): 15 points
Wins Power Of Veto (POV): 10 points
Nominee who is Saved (SAVE NOM): 5 points
Nominee who is Evicted (EVICT NOM): 2 points
None of the above (FLOAT): -1 point

And as much like in the show, the promise being that "Floaters" will not win the game. They will not be receiving points in this game either.
So pick those hamsters whom you think will make the biggest moves.

Should be simple, right?

Well, the show also promises... "Expect the Unexpected" ...and I'd be irresponsible to not also state that I too believe in their credo.
I have the capabilities of throwing a few wrenches into the well laid plans from time to time. Stay vigilant.

As for now, let's start this whole thing off with a list of the hamsters...

Wednesday, June 26th @ 8pm BOARDTIME

That is pretty darned quick so let's get this going!

Phantasy Hamster Team: (1st Eviction)

Hamster 1 ~ Hamster 2 ~ Hamster 3 ~ Hamster 4


Host Notes:
Similarly to BBRAT, the schedule for Phantasy runs "a week early".
Beginning with HOH and continuing to Eviction. Regardless of what happens via LiveFeed or the thrice weekly shows.
So in essence you will be making your choices based on predictions. Not on the current events playing out on the varied screens. Although you will be able to follow the events as they unfold slowly through the week.
Entry for the 2nd Eviction will be posted shortly after the 1st episode airs but will not be due until the next Live Eviction show, which takes place on the following Wednesday.

Hey. A game where I only have to pick four names. I am in! And it will guarantee that someone else won't come in last.

I will go with McCrae and Aaryn because I think viewers will like them.

And Spencer and Judd because I think the guys tend to win more at the beginning, and I thought that somewhere it said that they have followed the feeds, etc. in the past.

Advance apologies to McCrae, Aaryn, Judd, and Spencer as you now are all likely to be the first ones out. At least I can rack up a few points until I become teamless.

I love your strategy. Let's see if it works. Or perhaps doesn't work, in the way you're expecting.
This show has a weird way of turning things on it's head multiple times a season.

I NEVER played a Board game before. Most appeared too involved so I passed. This one seems straight-forward...with that being said let's see how long before I muck it up!

You also caught me in a "weak" moment being initially excited about a Reality Show season with all first-timers...with that being said let's see how long before Production mucks THAT up!

Here are my four picks with my rationale:

HOWARD - Guys will want to hang with him; Gals will go in heat over him; and he's my prediction for early Fan Fav aka MVP. If even two of the three come to be, I see him hanging around for a while

ELISSA - I'm sure sis gave her the inside dope in the House that even diehard fans and the other HGs are not privy to. This should give her an advantage. Rachel's competitive nature won her many competitions; perhaps it may be in the blood.

ANDY - CBS/Reality Shows have had a love affair with dweebs lately. Andy definitely qualifies as this season's dweeb. If the trend continues I see him going deep in the game.

HELEN - Anyone who knows me knows I have a soft spot for the oldsters, and Helen is the oldest this season. With the greatest divide in Reality Show not going anywhere quickly, I'm thinking she may pick me up some "nominee" points.

I wonder if Andy will continue the nerds/geeks/truefans rule like they have recently (last year's BB, Survivor, etc.). Hopefully he will be entertaining and not annoying!

And I really like Helen also. That is why I didn't choose her for this game! Shame that a 37 year old is the "oldster."

Since I suck at games normally, I will enter.

However, if it should so happen that I succeed at predicting these events better than I normally do ... I make a promise now that states even if I am in the lead I will choke prior to the final entry. Even if I have to physically choke myself to do so.
