Seems like this happens every so often. Looks like the AI powers-that-be would be a bit more discriminating in who they pick. Will the contestant be replaced with Jeremy, or will they just trudge on without an elimination this week?http://www.tvguide.com/News/American-Idol-Finalist-Eliminated-1044795.aspx
Jermaine Jones kicked off for hiding criminal charges.
But isn't it nice to know Sarah Palin's original vetting committee found work?I don't think they can justify bringing Jeremy back for Round Three, and you really can't rope in anyone who was already eliminated because they would essentially have gotten a free pass through one round. We're probably looking at a freebie week sometime in the future -- cue a surprise return of Idol Gives Back? -- or maybe a forced save followed by a single elimination instead of a double. Anything that doesn't mean they're collecting one fewer episode's worth of money.
However, it currently looks like the so-far confirmed outstanding warrants were for driving on a suspended license (three counts) and disorderly conduct with an open container. Nothing particularly major as such things go. The bigger trouble seems to be giving a false name to law enforcement (heya, Saphyri!) and rumors that he had some sort of confrontation with another contestant or staff member. There's nothing currently backing that last, though.
A couple of Worsters are thinking bus throw after his comment on the show not knowing what to do with his voice -- but it's not as if he hadn't installed the wheels.
We wait on word from the show. Which is admittedly the worst possible thing we could do.
