I saw Rock of Ages the other night in Denver, with Contantine still in the lead. I was surprised at how good his voice was. It was a fun show, but he could not have been more suited for the role of Drew. I had to chuckle whenever he gave that "look" of his, although he seemed to do it on purpose now. He made local, morning TV show appearances, and he just seemed pretty goofy, but it was kind of early after performing the previous evening.

I did notice that he has aged quite a bit, so I was not surprised to hear that he is not going to be cast in the movie.

I also saw Constantine in the ROA role and really enjoyed him and the play. He can belt it really well!

BTW, I looked at the cast list for ROA on IMDB and Constantine is cast in the movie...as a record executive. So a role to pacify him, perhaps?

Tom Cruise is playing Stacee Jaxx (lol! The wig alone on Tom will be a hoot!) And I read this on IMDB:

Alec Bladwin plays Dennis Dupree...others in the movie are Mary J Blige, Russell Brand, Julianne Hough, Paul Giamatti, Will Forte, Catherine Zeta-Jones, what a cast! Hope they pull it off because the play was a lot of fun.
