As noted on VFTW, now Paula really has to start pretending her own negotiations aren't going well, because the supposed (and sober) back-up plan just got a fresh contract.
http://tinyurl.com/krn6dsAt a guess, Kara just wanted to see what this year's crop looked like. As in 'live appearance'. Close-up. Two inches away from the nearest pillow. The nearest commercially-judged, heavily-promoted pillow.
I don't think this improves the show, but I didn't think improvement was the goal to begin with.
Paula's got to be sweating, but that's just from coming off her latest dose.

Paulas been tweeting again. About how she has to make sure her contract is fair.I'm sure it was just a ploy to get something they don't want to give. Drum up the outraged fans so they'll give in.

i'm not a paula fan per se, however, i'd rather keep her over kara. kara is just so boring. she just repeats what the other judges say, she doesn't bring anything original to the opinions. at least paula has her own opinions and gives us lots to talk about with all her controversies.

I agree. I don't quite understand the Randy-Simon-Kara dynamic, whereas the R-S-Paula one was easy to figure out and fun to watch.Besides, Paula is *slowly going crazy*. That makes for GREAT live TV (see John Madden's recent broadcasts). How can boring Kara be an improvement? Is it just because she stays awake and makes it to places on time?
