"David Cook Single - Light On"

Have you heard it? Waddayathink? It is very reminiscent of those power ballads from the 80's. Much better than Time of Your Life. Looking forward to the full album in November!

I like it. I agree on the monster ballads connection.

Thanks Agman!

The single is good.

DC is a cool guy, just hope that all his songs won't end up sounding the same.

The first time I heard his album, I thought most of his songs sounded similar. But the more I listen, the more I like it. Permanent gives me chills and I can totally see Daily anthem becoming a real crowd pleaser at his concerts. My favorite is Bar-ba-sol because it's so different.

I'm a huge DC fan and will most likely love anything he records honestly.

If you have a chance to go see him live, DO IT!! He puts on such an awesome show!! He is doing covers of Van Halen's "Hot for Teachers" and "Little Lies" by Fleetwood. Awesome! I got to meet him after the show.... so down to earth and thankful to all his fans.

Tour dates on his website:

I say go to his show, check out the opening act and leave. That's what I would have done if I got tickets (they sold out real fast). I love Ryan that much.

Ryan Star was very good, but David was better.

I understand that is your opinion but, in reality, there really is no such thing.

No such thing as better than Ryan Star? LOL! Ooookay....

Yes, we are ALL entitled to our opinions.

Hmmm? What I said was in no way supposed to be a joke. Sarcastically opinionated? of course. Since that's what I always tend to do. (For the entire however many years I've posted here. One day, somebody on this board will get that. Hello? I tend to banter.)

In my opinion (which, as you stated, I am entitled to), David Cook is in no way shape or form "better" than Ryan Star. In fact, in my opinion, he's the best there is. Hence my love for him and my willingness to attend a concert with a headliner that I don't particularly like.

*throws out Danny Gokey siggie that was in process*
