"Keep CONSTANTINE off the stage!!!!"

OMG!!!

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

I logged in to see the news story about Constantine negotiating for a role in the Wedding Singer on Broadway.

First of all, I assume it is for the lead character that comedian Stephen Lynch has been playing. The show is fantastic, very 80's, and incredibly FUN!

I can't see Constantine contributing a single thing to it. This is one case where "stunt casting" by the producers could actually backfire.

I predict Wedding SInger will continue to lose money and will be on tour in a city near you very fast if this is the best change they could make to the cast.

Glad I got to see it twice with the original cast.
Fun show! See it now....while you can!!!

PHEW!

It's still was a close call, and maybe hard to take, but it was recently announced that the role Constantine will be taking is the more minor role of Sammy, the leads Best Friend and bandmate.

I still don't like it, but only time will tell if he has what it takes.

lol.

you do realize, right, that there are thousands of grown women who think he's totally hot? When I went to last year's Idol show, the Greek God Groupies were easily the biggest fan group in the house. You could see them all over the arena, they had glow-in-the-dark necklaces of some color, I forget what now.

and it's hardly a "stunt" to cast him in a Broadway play. He was doing theater long he did Idol. he had a starring role in the national touring company of Rent. this is a natural next step.

and Playbill says he's doing Sammy, the hero's best friend.

I agree, he will be an asset to the show. He should be able to draw some fans to the performeance.
