Ok well this CD is new to me anyway since I only listen to NPR and Howard Stern*. Anyway the they played a clip of Kelly's top 5 (?) song 'Since you've been gone' and Wow, I couldn't believe it was the same gal who belted out Miss Independence. Its a totally different style, I agree with Howard and really liked it.

Anyway, does anyone have this CD? Would it be appropriate for a 7-8 year old?

*My dirty little secret, I've listened to him since I was a dust mite when he was on DC 101, and yes sometimes I turn the dial.

I ripped it from my 8-year-old niece's CD. It's just fine. I doubt seriously that we'll see Kelly doing anything that would be considered not safe.

True, but even after that, I don't see her slutting out like Britney. I think her roots are deep enough that she'll avoid that kinda stuff.

My 9-year-old and 7-year-old daughters have had the CD since it was released. They like it. There is no material that is at all inappropriate for them to hear.
