When I found out that they were singing Billboard hits a couple weeks ago, I was hoping that he would have sang "Every Breath you take". I like "Sweet Child of Mine" too though.

I like Bo but he doesn't have the vocal chops to pull off a song that has that much range. Bo cannot sing well in other ranges so he should not attempt any song from a powerful rocker. Bo would not come out well and the song would be flat. He should stick with his 1 dimensional psyeduo southern rock, it's working well and should get him to at least the final 3.

Strongly disagree. Bo's got lotsa vocal chops -- and it's not the size of his range, it's the 'type' of his range.

Bo is a baritone. Constantine is a tenor.

Axel Rose, Billy Squier -- tenors

David Clayton-Thomas, Greg Allman -- baritones

Sometimes you can transpose a tenor song into a lower key for a baritone to sing, but sometimes that doesn't work -- it can take the edge off.

Bo should not sing any Axl Rose stuff.

Frankly, in view of all the boy-band crap & R&B "never sing a melody just do runs all over the place"....I'm REALLY enjoying hearing a baritone!!!

Nobody in the field will ever sell one C.D. of these songs and no label would ever record them doing those songs anyhow. Last night was a disaster for American Idol. I assumed it was Ryan when Simon gave him a dirty look and said something like "No more show tunes, Ryan". I think they could have done a lot better job with their selections too though.

I'm just wondering if people really think that Bo needs to sing a GNR song, or if they would be more interested in seeing him wear those super-tight, super-low-slung pants? I remember the first time I saw Axl standing on one foot and flailing the other one to "Sweet Child o'Mine". I didn't know if I liked him or hated him, but the pants were so distracting!!

Sorry, can I get in on this. I love Bo,s voice. He can pick 100 awesome songs to sing, but if Simon doesn't like the song, no matter how good they are, he bashes the singer.

Bo should sing "Still of the Night" by Whitesnake. That would rock. Constantine shouldn't sing anything that won't allow him to frog his lips out and do his eyelashes all sexy. That's what he's countin' on for votes instead of his voice. He's done ok the last couple of weeks I will give credit where it's due. But Bo is by far the better singer of the two, imo.

I thought of "Still of the Night" too (one of my favourite tunes to dance to back in my Rock Chick days) but then I thought the lyrical content is probably a bit on the racy side for a family show. Too much wolfen door-sniffing for family viewing, methinks!

Bo sang FREEBIRD O.K. but the vocals to that song compared to the strong guitar licks by Skynard made it the wrong choice for him.

He needs to sing Billy Idol or Axel Rose to win the competition.

I agree that Freebird was a wrong choice, and it got him into the Bottom 3.

But I still disagreee with Billy Idol or Axl Rose. Not his style at all, at least not WTTJ. I could see him singing "Patience".

I don't get the impression that Bo doesn't care. I think he had a life he was happy with before AI came along, and he will go back to that same life if he's voted off. He'll probably go back and be more successful than before. To me, I'd rather see someone with Bo's attitude than crying their eyes out because they put all their life's hopes and dreams in the Idol basket and it didn't pan out. Bo is glad just to be there. I'm sure he'd love to win just as much as any of the rest of them up there, but I get the feeling he's thankful he's come as far as he has. Imho.

For the people thinking Bo should sing anything by a big-hair, spandexed, head-banging rock band you really do not get what he is about. Bo is more of a hippy-I-love-everyone-life-is-great type of rock singer more comfortable with the old 70's type of songs. There are rock bands who have kept this good old rock sound throughout the years and it is coming back now (Counting Crows comes to mind, he would be great at one of their songs.)
Bo is more "Peace and free love." not "Sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll." While I enjoy a good jam-out to "Welcome to the Jungle" on occation a guy would have to have the correct drugged-out, was with five girls last night, don't care if I pee on your head while I sing attitude to pull that type of rock off correctly.

Drugged up? Without a doubt. Headbanger? Not so much.

The Allman Brothers are a 70's 'classic' rock band, not headbangers.

And long-haired musicians don't make it a 'hair band', usage of more AquaNet than Wigstock makes a hair band.

Headbangers & Hair Bands are more 80's & early 90's groups.

Bo seems to be much more old school than that. (thankfully) More of a bluesy edge than a punk, metal or new wave edge. No Billy Idol, please - that wouldn't fit.

Disagree. The good thing about Bo is that while he is "peace" (not necessarily free love), he makes you think of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll without being ostentatious about it (Constantine) -- all while being exciting and a class rock act.

Bo has the passion for music and performing. He has naturalness and the talent to carry off this competition. Wonder if he'll do well with the AI contract if he wins -- perhaps take the experience to a whole new level??
