Just heard about it but wanted to make sure...did they really push the show to Friday permanently?

Yep:

FOX's struggling 'Forever Eden' continues its scheduling death march... to Fridays at 9PM

I went and reread the original article, and I found one comment particularly amusing:

"We learned some lessons from Paradise, " Darnell explained. "When you keep people in one place long enough, dysfunction and a little bit of dementia sets in. So it got us to thinking, how long can people stay (on a reality show)?"

Obviously, they didn't learn any lessons at all!

There is NO way Forever Eden will make it on Friday night. I'm guessing it won't be on anymore come mid-April.
It's no Paradise Hotel, but I've been enjoying it nonetheless.

I'm glad somebody likes it .

If they had learned their lessons from Paradise Hotel, they would have realized that some of the bizare twists were what made the players so fatigued in the first place.

To say nothing of the viewers ...

I hope that after it ... f a d e s a w a y , .... the producers trully learn their lesson and not attempt a similar P-Ho rip off again.

Maybe something better like a Reality show where the contestants actually have some control over the game (like they do on Survivor), and are not constantly tormented by the endless twists that Gutteridge and his friends seem to love so much.

The funny thing is that Mad Mad House is from the same folks and was only filmed a few months before Eden and after Paradise... so they do know SOMETHING about stable game rules, etc. -- they simply chose not to use them

In the case of Mad Mad House, the rules are a little more stable, but do the players have control of the game?

Not really .....

It's not so much the "stability" of the rules but more the ability of the players to have a say in their destiny that impresses me about shows like Survivor and The Apprentice.

But to each their own.

Referencing my summary of Forever Eden's Episode 4, I'm sure Survivor and The Bachelorette would find Mad Mad House to be "evil." lol
