Why do all of these shows lately have female british hosts? This girl varies from all of the others on only one point- she's ugly! Aren't hosts supposed to be attractive and desirable? Not only was her face and hair a mess, but she looked so stupid the way she was standing throughout the entire show. I think they should have a hunky, british, male host! The only guys we ladies get are Jeff Probst and Mark Wahlberg! They're not bad, but certainly not hunky! Did you fellas out there think this chick was good looking?

The host is horrible! I'd even take Alex from Joe Millionaire I over her. Not attractive, stands strangely, and seems totally stiff.

Since this is obviously the P-Ho ripoff, they may as well have used the same host, I started to warm up to her during the end of that run.

Exactly what I was thinking. If they're going to use the same cheesy announcer, why not use the same host.

Yeah I thought she was pretty revolting, too. Especially in the opening shot.

As the show wore on, though, it seemed to me that her ugliness worked quite well as a presenter for the "evil" aspect of the show - the apple, etc.

I don't pay too much attention to the show hosts unless they're note-worthy but I gotta say this gal puts me off. Her accent's muddy, not proud (like Anne from Weakest Link) and she looks dumpy. She seems disconnected and unpersonable.

OTOH, she's a perfect living representative of what the show's come off like to me so far: unpolished and weak.

Does anyone think she kinda looks like Tricia from Young & the Restless? Tricia is the crazy one that was married to Ryan. Her cynical smile freaks me out.

Well, as was mentioned above, Paradise Hotel had one. Also a show called Boy Meets Boy, and... gosh, I was sure that there were more, but I can't seem to think of them right now. They are all so utterly forgettable!

Female british hosts have that sexy voice. I still drool over Anne Robinson reruns on Game Show Network.

One exception: Sharon Osborne (today, not 20 years ago)

And to make things worse, this show makes up for lack of interest by "repeat" clips, often showing her saying something TWICE.

(I would prefer the show to stop already with the silly repeat clips as if our memory spans were too short to last a whole show - and give us instead more actual interaction)

I don't watch the show but had to see this hostess. I think she looks ok but what is with the way she stands? It looked very awkward and uncomfortable. Put your legs together.

Has anyone else noticed the contestants developing a phobic reaction to her? So far, every single appearance she's made on camera has meant something bad is in store for someone, and the group has managed to catch on to the equation. Ruth=trouble. Every time.

They're starting to actively cringe and look for places to hide whenever they spot her coming up the path. I give them about six weeks before the first person dives into a bush and covers their head with a security blanket. 'I'm invisible, I'm invisible, I'm invisible...'

I think Ruth should start showing up in a bikini. Why? No particular reason (similar to the premise of the show).

I've noticed that some of the contestants have developed involuntary twitches when Ruthless strolls up.

I can understand if the "British chick" is supposed to make the show seem more exotic or (Lord help me) "classier". But she stands there like she forgot to visit the ladies' room, so it's just not working.



Makes you almost miss PHo.
