"There's something about Mary...."

..something that makes me want to slap her with a trout.

I don't know WHAT is up with that Barbie-wannabe but she seriously needs to can the 'I'm just a dumb widdle girl' shtick. Asking a black guy if his toes are naturally black isn't ignorant, it's not naive; it's just STUPID. A four-year-old could ask a dumb question like that and might get away with it but what's her excuse? Frontal lobotomy? Closed-head injury?

I live in Arizona too and while there's not a black population density here like you'd see elsewhere, there ARE black people here. It's not like Scottsdale is Mars. Jeez.

I agree with you Lyrker. How dumb do you have to be to say, "I never talked to a black person until I was 21 years old"! Does she have no common sense? That isn't being naive...it is being stupid! I agree!

It's not like Scottsdale is Mars. Jeez.

But Scottsdale has been a great source of strange contestants for this production company (Paradise Hotel and Forever Eden).

Mary is really odd and I have difficulty believing what she is saying.

Her stupid gimmick smacks to me of a put-on. Like she figured out at a young age if she acted like a complete cotton-head, guys would pay more attention to her. Now she's just used to letting her mouth run on auto-pilot. I hope they do mean things to her.

Don't forget Jim from Average Joe. I think I would be scared to visit Scottsdale now.

"WTF?"

She really isn't the sharpest tool in the shed now is she? Why did she think she was given a second chance at banishing Craig? What did she think was in the envelope she gave Craig? I was screaming at the tv...OH THE DRAMA!

I am SO glad she got herself booted off. I -might- tune back in next time but if she had been there still, I know I wouldn't have. Ech.

I did think it was too funny that everyone there in Eden hated her till she was gone. Then they were all "Ohhh, she was the best one of us! Boo-hoo! Why'd she have to leeeeave?!"

Heh.

I had to laugh. And the look on Craig's face when she showed the banished card was priceless. I hate to say it but I'm officially hooked on this train wreck.

So I couldn't tell. Could she see what card she was selecting or were they face down? I thought they were face down and she selected at random. The Mrs. disagreed and said she knew what card she selected.

The cards were folded and yes she could see the inside. The look on Craig's face was priceless! I still don't understand her train of thought with choosing Craig because he was the only one that tried to get to know her before they found out she would banish someone.

Thanks. So then she is indeed a complete idiot, not just partially. What a show!

that I paid attention to this carp...but the reason she selected craig is because he was the only one with a girlfriend AND he tried to get to know her better. She felt like he was disrespecting his relationship. I say what relationship could he really have had if the point of the show is never to leave....his girlfriend must be some piece of work.

CSTL...yeah what a piece of work his "girlfriend" must be. However, yeah she explained it that way but if I were in that position, I would have said...ok, there is one guy ONE guy that tried to get to know me...the one I pick will be one of the guys that give a crap about me. Hell, buck tooth guy actually said he didn't care for her. Why keep him there if you think you are going to be staying there? I wouldn't want to be in Eden with someone that didn't like me!

If I was Mary I would have booted Matt. He openly said he didn't like her from the beginning. And as far as her picking the banishment card. Who knew what would happen. Next time a person picks the card to Save the person it may be saving them and going home in their place. This place will have everyone so paranoid it will be hilarious.

I agree that everyone will be paranoid. However, I honestly don't think she had a clue that there would be more to the banishment of Craig. COME ON, she had just handed Craig an envelope that she had to know was a new plot twist and then BEFORE he reads the envelope, she has to determine whether to banish him or not. She didn't hesitate for a second to grab the banishment card. I think she was honestly caught off guard and that is what makes her look so dumb!

You know, I think I would pay to see that happen...the picture I have in my mind is disturbing to say the least.

I do NOT understand Mary. She must not have any clue about reality games because if she did, she should have figured out something was up with the note Craig had and the reprieve offer. Oh well, the guys will have to figure out who's least desirable among the rest.

I can see this show losing interest quickly. We'll see.
