LAST EDITED ON 11-14-04 AT 09:14 PM (EST)
The billionaire gives a tour of his his mansion and introduces his wife and daughter on the show. The mansion was rented for the show.
He has his first million earned in a bo the is surrounded by laser protection, which is actually a box with some $100 bills pasted on it and some laser pointers.
He also purports to have the original Excaliber Sword from King Authur's Court which they actually bought off of EBAY.

LAST EDITED ON 11-14-04 AT 09:31 PM (EST)As a challenge they are to sell hot soup in Chicago in July. Now how smart is that.
They actually don't do that bad at it.

'Look out, hot soup coming through! Hot soup, hot soup!'As said below, this one might have been a little too Apprentice-standard, although watching the Italian Ice carts follow them around was mildly beautiful. (I thought the funniest bits of the night were the house tour and Hickman's 'sell me something' pop quizes.) With soup at four dollars a bowl, I'd love to know how both minicorps' totals ended in 1 -- must have been some 'two for seven' action going on.
Next week's task looks like a killer. A cuddly mascot for a company that makes poison? Does anyone know if Monstah's looking for part-time work?

I was wondering the same thing. And since all of these contestants are suppose to be so clever. Didn't they wonder why their totals did not divide evenly by 4?

I think the one mention of $4 a bowl was not indicative of the entire day's price. Choosing how much to sell it for would be part of the strategy, after all.

The girl's team lost to the guys by about $100 and had to go to the boss's office. The boss says a mystery boss will make the decision on who goes each week. The mystery says CHristy is gone. He says get the hell out of my office.

I like when the boss said something like "One of these broads has gotta go" after the women lost their challenge. One of the women said somthing like "I've worked in the business world, and I would have reported him to human resources if someone said that!".I also liked the boardroom scenes. "Kristy, people have said you are not a team player....(pause)......And get the hell out of my office". Kristy had a shocked look and then finally walked out.

But she did not seem to question anything or say a word about it.

Another fine episode. Not one of the clueless commented that the Legend of King Arthur and Excalliber are just fairy tales. lol. Did I miss something, i didn't see that 'the dimwitted daughter' character did anything. For a 'Billionaire's Throphy Wife' the actress seemed a little wanting, I think it would have been more interesting if the 'Throphy wife' was about 20 years younger than him. What is funniest to me is that despite how silly the contests are, they could just as easily be on the Apprentice, the editing was almost identical. I wish 'the boss' had fired the other girl. The girl that got fired was much more emotive. I liked the 'suspeciously gay boss' angle. I thought the boss' desk tease at the end was stupid. and... Get the hell out of my office.

To be fair, there is some evidence for a historical King Arthur: you just have to plant him a few centuries earlier than the first known telling of the legend and stretch the circumstances a bit. (It almost looks like more of a 'civilized' invasion than anything else.)Not that I think any of those six knew that. 'Pure of heart to wield the sword'. Uh-huh. Right. Sure. And if you step into this room, you'll find the Spear Of Longinius, which will now be demonstrated for authenticity. Which of you would like to have your side pierced?

My DH is a renaissance historian and buff. Swords weren't that long during Arthur's time nor was it made from that material. They were bronze then. He thought some of the contestants would see that! Geez, trying to watch a funny show with DH's commentary...I'll TiVo it for later!

The minute his wife walked down the stairs I recognized her. She was on Y&R. They better hope none of their contestants are Y&R fans. Because that actress played Cassie's adopted mother Alice for quite awhile on Y&R.

I for one am an avid Y & R fan and recognized the actress right off the bat as having been on Y & R. True I had to go online to remember her name,Tamara Clatterback. However "Mr Todd" totally outed his "family" in an interview on Access Hollywood.

That camera angle made it seem as if the "Boss" is something other than human. I'm really beginning to buy into the fact that the Boss is an animal of some sort. Or a mini me???I don't know...but I hope they don't wait till the last episode to reveal...

Good point. I didn't even think of an animal making the "cut". ROFL.

> I think it would have been more interesting if the 'Throphy wife'
>was about 20 years younger than him. I was thinking the same thing. Trophy Wife implies a young beautiful model with nothing in common with the husband, not a so-so middle aged woman. Also, I had a hard time guessing which one was the wife and which one was the daughter at first. They both looked kinda old.
>i didn't see that 'the dimwitted daughter' character did anything.
They might have been setting her up for future epsisodes. However, I think next week his son is actually introduced for one of the tasks.

yea, the 'daughter' looked kinda old to be living with her parents. I think it would have been funny to introduce the 30ish daughter first, then have a 25ish wife come out next.

I am waiting for some more reaction by the contestants to what is going on. They can't be that gullible.

I think the Boss needs to tone it down a bit to make it more believable.I have the same problem with this show that I had with 'My Big Fat Obnoxiuos Fiancee'. That is that I'm finding it very hard to believe that the contestants think this is real. But I still find the show entertaining and will continue to watch.

It is definitely entertaining, but how long will it be before some of the contestants quit in frustration.
