"Piers Morgan"

I have really been impressed by Piers throughout this show. He's very intelligent, classy and very funny. I think this show will significantly enhance his profile. I'm looking forward to the next season of America's Got Talent.

I beg to differ on classy, and I would add arrogant!

I don't think it's arrogance. I think a lot of it is cultural. And clearly he still harbored tremendous ill will against Omarosa for her awful comments about Piers's family life, justifiably so.

What explains away being a jerk to the men on his team long before the comments his poor parenting?

I mean he had two different guys quit the show/team just to get away from him. That all happened before he and Omorosa really got into it.

I do think he intends to play the villain role on the show. Once one target is of the show or off his team he starts in on the next one. I don't think he was completely innocent in the fight with Omorosa, she just couldn't be the main target until they were both on th same team. Yep, she said some horrible things about him, but had he been a classy, lovely man to work with the entire time I'm not sure things would have gone down the same way.

Omorosa was also playing the villain and always had someone she was targeting as well. When the two got together there was bound to be fireworks.

Piers is lucky, he has some ability to lead, and has a lot of very very rich friends who will donate to his cause. Without the deep pockets of his connections I think he might have been fired by now.

Re: being a jerk to the men, I think the men are all swaggering around with their big egos and Steven Baldwin, in particular seems to realize the other guys, Piers esp., aren't impressed with him. To me he comes across as a whiner and I'm glad Piers mixed it up with him. Trace seems to be the most modest ofthe guys--do you all think he's going to stay around till the end??

I was just about to say exactly the same thing AQ!
Tho I have enjoyed watching him - just wish he could have kept his tongue quiet when it came to Omo.

I too have been enjoying Piers. I was so happy to see him get the best of Omarosa. Almost makes me want to watch America's Got Talent. I just try to limit being committed to so many shows. Piers has been impressive, his one drawback is working with others..not everyone but most. Even went after Lennox who has been his rival for most of the competition. I think he will be in the final two though...his performance has been very strong....backs up his words with performance.

You would add arrogant or you would replace classy with arrogant?

I actually have enjoyed Piers, but I enjoy watching Gordon Ramsey, too! Except for all the expletives, which at least Piers does not vocalize. For that, I respect him even more!

I think much of his action is cultural (ie Simon Cowell, and as I said, Gordon Ramsey-and he is good friends with both. Big surprise, huh?).

I haven't seen too many times that he's made me cringe to the point of hating him. Not the way Omo has and did in her first appearance on the Apprentice. She had that 'way' about her that you just don't get over quickly or ever, for that matter. Even though she did much better this time, until she had to work closely with him. And we all know that was a mix-up for ratings only. And they really did a great job with it!!

So, anyway, IMHO, I like the guy, and when I've seen him on "America Has Talent", I've agreed with most of his comments, but like Simon, they do come off a bit more rude than usual, even though they are usually right on the money. Again, I chalk it off to that British culture, and arrogance that comes when the Brits are given a certain amount of money and prestige.

Piers is my favorite this season. I don't really find him offensive either. To me, he is just stating the truth and some people take offense to it.

When he works with people who are competent and do a good job, Piers is the first one to praise them for it and he tells Trump what they did right.

When he works with people who are imcompetent and ignorant, he blatantly tells them so, which obviously irks people.

Piers called out Stephen on his hipocrisy and Stephen ran crying to Trump that he wanted to quit over it. All Piers did was state the truth.

Piers has nothing personal against Lennox Lewis as a person and has just pointed out Lennox's faults -- trying to dodge any kind of responsibility whatsoever and the one task where Lennox was "sleepy." Piers gave Lennox praise when he worked hard and then criticized him when he showed up with a hangover. Nothing personal, just the truth.

The only person Piers has a true problem with is Omarosa and I do not blame him ONE BIT! Omarosa is a despicable person, who covers up her ineptitude with lashing out with lies and nasty, personal attacks. Anyone in Piers' situation would lose it when faced with someone like Omarosa and I'm so glad he personally was responsible for giving her the ultimate smackdown and causing her to FINALLY be fired.

Piers FTW.
