"Student Finds Largest Prime Number"

Posted by Devious Weasel on 12-11-03 at 02:13 PM
The article doesn’t mention it, but he was actually looking for the Paris Hilton video at the time he found the prime number.

So, any jokes you want to make that aren’t really worthy of their own thresd? Climb aboard!

No, it isn't Buggy's DAW count.

Don't look at me: I gave up all math more complicated than I needed to do my taxes or balance my checkbook after Differential Equations in college.

And note to slice: see, this is what we were talking about earlier for those "arts and crafts" jerks. Discovering a prime number or interacting with other people? I'd take the latter.

Yet another Jslice masterpiece!

balancing a checkbook mean?

you hold it in one hand and the stack of bills in the other and decide how many of them you can afford to pay this pay period.

--has a life insurance bill that MUST be paid today...oops. damn short term memory!

making sure Fleet Bank doesn't try to steal money from you when you're not looking.

ExI has had it happen before. Now he balances it religiously.

It's where the bank tells you how much money they think you have, as opposed to how much money YOU think you have because you use your check card all the time and forget to write down the amounts.

What would Brian Boitano do?

Sadly, the bank almost always seems to win those disputes

Brian Boitano would do a triple toe loop on the way to the bank.

Boy, I'll bet the guy who lost it is going to be pissed when he sees all of this publicity.

Especially if it's the same guy who was rude about the lottery ticket.

Now I want them to look for my Safeway Club Card.

I lost my sanity. Could that be harder to find than a multi-million digit Mersenne prime number?

Wait. Don't answer that.

My dream when I was younger was to discover the largest prime number. Now I have a lot more work to do, don't I?

I'm not kidding. Really.
