First of all, I am not mad. I replied to that in my response below. I am happy to explain to you why I alerted AK, otherwise I wouldn't have said I did it.
>Look Kim. I don't make the rules here.
I don't either.
>>I never have. I couldn't care less about the cartoon. The real question is one that you asked..<where do you draw a line? > Someone can find something offensive in virtually any picture or cartoon. There are almost daily debates with DAWG about how offended he is with liberalism. Should we ban liberal(stop drewling dawg).
Not going to touch that one, Dawg . I was not personally offended by the picture in question. It is a matter of consistency. If a an animated picture of a mouse and a mouse are over the line, so would the picture in question (waves to **jkokoj**)There have been other pictures that were deemed inappropriate, fwiw. This is nothing new at OT.
>I am not here to debate
>PG-13 guidlines. These change everyday
>and are governed by the
>censors in Hollywood.
>So, again, where do we draw
>the line?
Where do we draw the line? I would think that any graphic representation of sex or links to a page with such material are an easy place to start. Then you don't have to to worry about the level of offensiveness or inappropriateness. The PG-13 phrase is not meant to be taken literally, I don't think. I could be mistaken. If it is, you are right, there is way too much leeway there.
Should everyone of
>us read anything we find
>offensive on this board immediately
>contact webby? If we did,
>there would be very little
>here.
Alerting Webby evertime someone gets offended is the best way to ensure that OT is shut down. We have been down that road in debate after debate here. I wouldn't recommend that, but when a "rule" has been clearly stated and enforced numerous times, I think that it should continue to be enforced. Period.
People need to stop
>being so sensitive to every
>little thing(again I am not
>talking about that cartoon. Live
>is offensive. If you are
>alive, you will be offended.
>Get over it.
I actually have nothing to get over. Again, I simply think that the only way OT can survive is if the guidelines are applied across the board without respect to who posted it or how silly it was.
