But for those with occasionally sick senses of humorhttp://www.press-citizen.com/news/051003lizard.htm
I always avoided the local Applebees anyway for taste reasons...

I have said in the past that the only way I'd set foot inside Appleby's is if it were raining frogs and I didn't want to get one down my shirt.Apparently, I should have included lizards.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. -- Terry Pratchett

LAST EDITED ON 05-12-03 AT 01:23 PM (EST)I thought the lizard head came with the Cobb Salad, not the Santa Fe...
It's raining frogs, hallelujah, it's raining frogs

Applebee's and 99 are both big out here, and I'd rather starve than eat in either one. Lizard sushi sounds kind of interesting, though. Maybe I'll reconsider.-- JV

Weasel,You state you don't go to Applebee's for taste reasons. I will never go back to one either, after getting an almost leathal dose of sodium at our local Applebee's.
The food served was soooooo salty, we were laughing about it. And we all ordered different things too. I guess the cook at our local Applebee's really really liked salt, LOL.

The salt masks the taste of the lizard...

And here I thought only Cracker Jacks gave you special toy suprises!

My favorite part of the article was the sub-heading:Presence of animal parts appears to be accidental
Oh, really? My step-daughter's favorite restaurant is Appleby's, but prolly not once I tell her this!

Awe Crap! I always liked Applebee's chicken caesar salads. Lizards totally freak me out and there are tons of them out now in this heat.

Oh how yummy. I would like a lizard in my salad, instead of your microwaved chicken...
