In past political discussion thresds, we'd have to buttress our argument with facts and figures with a mild dose of emotion.

But I don't need to speak for or against POTUS.

He does well enough to speak (or tweet) for himself as self-evidence of his being incompetent, a pathological liar, a sociopath lacking any sense of empathy, and... a moron.

I thought about it again. And she is an old black woman that has lived thru and seen times of racial injustice (I guess that's your point). I just finished reading A Warning by Anonymous, an insider in the Trump administration who portrays Trump's actions, words and character.

While it has some details, I've already read about most of it in the "fake news" sites (e.g., CNN, MSNBC, Politico, The Hill, etc.), so there's not much new content here.

Don't spend $30 bucks on it and instead get it at your local library like I did (if your library right-wing book selection committee hasn't blacklisted it).

Fancy Nancy is going to let him stew in his own juices until the articles of impeachment gets passed over to the kowtowing Trumpist Pub Senate.

What I can't quite figure out is why these Pub Senators are so afraid of Trump to call him out? My best guess is that their constituents who voted them into office also voted for Trump and those same constituents won't reelect them if they buck Trump.

There are also quite a few Reaganite Republicans who wonder what has led the GOP into becoming a Trumpist party.

I wonder about that also. It would seem that their lives would be simpler if they jumped on the impeachment conviction boat, I mean, they would still have Pence. Who at least isn't an idiot. Or as big an idiot. Plus he's be eligible for two for terms.

Win Win for them. This way, most likely Trump won't be convicted, but he also most likely won't be reelected.

But plainly, Republicans are acting like they are in order to save their jobs.

Just had a Trumper come to the door for a solicitation.....as soon as he said he was there for Trump, I said goodbye and walked back through the door and locked it. He had his 6 year old with him and he stood there for a minute as his son asked why I would do that. I heard his answer from my office and was tempted to go out and correct him but didn't.
