Ahh Yes --

Many years ago my friend and I were at a middle school teachers' conference in San Diego. There was a presentation from a pair of teachers from NoCal that used a Star Trek theme (to the extreme) in their classes. This was the third year they had presented and were, to be frank, a bit of a laughing stalk for most attendees.
As we walked by their presentation we stuck our heads in and shouted

"NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER!"

Then ran like a bat out of hell.

The thing that made the movie great was that, when confronted with the reality of being in a life-or-death situation, the Galaxy Quest actors "reverted" to their characters' behavioral traits, not the unappealing behavioral traits that the actors had exhibited in their normal lives. I'm not sure how you make a series out of that, but I wish the producers good luck.

"It doesn't take a great actor to recognize a bad one."

"A very clever deception indeed."
