LAST EDITED ON 07-07-14 AT 08:45 PM (EST)My friend of mine told me about this -- he did a simple Google search of another friend of his and found a site (I'm not naming) that will provide significant personal information (including exact home address, date of birth, credit status, court records, etc) for just a few dollars.
I checked it out using my own name and found the process easy -- essentially luddite-friendly. You get the option to buy unlimited access for up to 60 days. I was later sent an email offering a five-day introductory offer for $1. I considered taking it so check the accuracy but then thought 'why give them my credit card info?' which they may already have.
I would like to know if there is a way to block this info.
