You are now being deported to Botswana (for your safety). Got to make room for the entire lawless state of that god damned central America. Or as we call it " The Good King Harry". You could go to Nepal or Vietnam. I'n not the one making the decisions. GAH!

Come on over! Swear allegiance to The Queen and you are in
"I, , swear by Almighty God that, on becoming a British citizen, I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Her Heirs and Successors according to law."

There's one day a year that the Queen steps out onto the balcony and greets everyone below after a bit of an historical military parade, horses hauling cannons.About ten years ago, a Malaysian colleague and I happened into London taking the IC chunnel express from Brussels first thing in the morning on a Saturday. Upon our arrival at the train station and walking over the bridge next to Big Ben, we noticed people walking into the parks on the way to the event. Wow! We saw the Queen!

Yes, it's Trooping the Colour in honour of The Monarchs official birthday, funnily enough they have a similar thing in Malaysia

I thought the proper term was British subject.

A lot of us would agree with you, however the law changed in 1948, where people living in the UK became British Citizens whilst "the rest" remained British Subjects.Gubbins

US 48/50. One was due to a misplaced & misfired cursor.
UK 9/10. I'm pretty sure it was the minimum juror age question. (I said 18)Thanks

Welcome aboard
Nope, you were correct one can serve on a jury from 18.

According to my scores I should NOT be a "member" of either.
I guess this means I create my own country?1st order of busyness: refreshments!

I passed both. Once tried similar questions for my own country and failed. We have boring history.

Bits may be boring, but that's a good thing.Coolest bit of Canadian history that I have seen was in Seattle, they have a museum there near the train station dedicated to the Klondike gold rush. Absolutely fascinating.

So what is "your own country"? Are you from where Latka was from in "Taxi"?

48/50 for the American test.9/10 for the British one.

You and Moly are tops! Both of these quizzes asked a lot of historical knowledge and understanding. I read a lot (books and online) and that's why I got a 48/7 score.

I would not be welcome to stay in Britain, but fortunately they don’t give this test to visitors. I can safely abide in the US.

50/50. I am the perfect citizen. (Play with that as you wish.)

Paid for by AgPAC, a 2008 registered 527 organization.
"Who, me? I was unaware. I found out about this when you did. Nobody's madder than me...." - President Barack Obama on, well, everything."We will eventually pay for it, but we can argue about that later.” – Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA.)

I am the perfect citizen. No one is perfect, even with a 50/50 American citizen score.
How did you do on the British quiz? If you're 10/10 there then you are indeed the perfect citizen.

I am the perfect American citizen.I aced our test, and got 7 of 10 on the British one through pop knowledge, guessing and cheating (I got the jury age answer from this thresd). As an American, I don't really care about what's happened or happens in other countries. Yet I was still able to pass. Where knowledge or know-how fails, I get by on bluster and bull$&!#. I.am.America.

As an American, I don't really care about what's happened or happens in other countries. As a free American who has lived abroad for much of my adult life, I very much care what is happening in other countries in this world of ours.

Got 9/10 on the British one (missed on the age you can serve on a jury). Here's one for Canada, seems like a tough test for those who don't live up here! Just click on the 'timed test' and pick a province that is close to you.

I flubbed up on all references to the Métis and the governor generals and some other historical facts.
Still, fifty percent isn't all bad, is it?

You did pretty well, I'd say. I did better on the U.S. test (96%) and scored the same on the British test as I did on the Canadian test (90%). I was pretty familiar with the U.S. judicial system after taking students to three tours of the U.S. Capitol and other buildings in the past two years.

44/50 on the US test (though I must protest an unclarity in the wording of some of the questions). Only 4/10 on the British test. Damn, I wanted those biscuits.

Sherlock Holmes was lamenting the fact that Mrs. Hudson had just removed the remnants of the tea recently consumed by Holmes and his ever present friend and colleague, John H. Watson MD. He left on his plate a small piece of scone which he now regretted not eating. It was enough of a distraction that made him desire that piece of scone even more.
Sherlocked by agman.

for making it worse.
(Which reminds me: The Final Jeopardy answer the other day was something called The Stone Of Scone. It was an object stolen from somewhere in Scotland apparently. Usually I recognize the answer after the fact even if I didn't guess it, but I have never heard of The Stone Of Scone. It sounds sort of Monty Python-ish.)

The Stone of Scone from Highlander.I readily admit that I haven't yet seen this.

They made pretty good skippers, though.

"OBJECTS" was the title of the Jeopardy category, so I felt sufficiently comfortable describing the Scone, I mean the Stone, as an object.(BTW, I love scones. Stones? Not so delicious.)
