The red wavy has been on for a long long long time.

Loads of peeps got locked out and had to create new names to get back in. You may see some who added one letter or numeral and are back to being DAWS instead of Centerfolds.

The red wavy has been that way since the first attack. Glad to have you back. Not many survivors but some of the nooks and crannies are still generating some action.

November 2011 and January 2013 (it never really went away, but did make a second surge a year after the first incident.)
both of these leading to...
* Red Flaggy Day on January 8th 2013.
Where the boardclock switches to Puerto Rican time. And the red wavys go permanent.
Finally...
* The Euromaiden Disaster of January 26th 2014.
Where scores of members were scrubbed from the memory banks.
Luckily, some survivors were able to climb back on to the floating flotsam, albeit with different boardnames.

Hey Cap, good to see you! And are you a godsend because you are an accomplished hacker, right?

And that's just what we need right now.

We need someone to hack this site and fix this stuff. The Mods have tried to contact Webby, but he is out of touch for whatever reason. Probably just doesn't care anymore. But whatever, we need someone to get the message flag working and remove the Ukraine War message. A number of people would like to get their odometers set back to like they were, too.

So see what you can do. It will be pro bono, unfortunately, unless you can also tap into the revenue stream that RTVW produces. Which might be a lot.

Actually, I don't think you are a good enough hacker to hack this site. You probably don't want to expose your lack of tech spy skills to us. You probably think that if you tried and failed, that the rest of us would laugh and laugh, and have a great time at your expense.

And you probably aren't man enough to accept a dare? Or even a double Dare? (There may well be triple coming, Watch out!)

Yeah, they did. See the "Stop War…” blah blah at the top of this page? They did that.

And they did something which resulted in most of the posters not being able to sign on, and some of those that did had to sign on as newbies. Snidget, with over 30K posts, is now nuSnidget with 30 or so posts. She’s taking it well, but you just know that there is a volcano inside her about to erupt.

OK, the hacking wasn't really all that destructive, more of a political protest I guess, one that most of us would be sympathetic to. But irritating.

The most incredible thing there is that Snidget only has 30 posts since January?

Ha! Not sure I could have done much better this year with both conferences going bottom up, but sure am glad to the Canadiens going as far as they have.
