So, just for fun, how would you re-word her azzhat message? Me, it would be:

What, you weren't expecting the Anti-Christ to be a woman?

On a more serious note: the plight of these kidnapped girls in Nigeria, as much as it should be a concern to all of us (and the fate of the boys, from what I understand, was truly horrible), it strikes home to me.

Not because I am Black, because I am not. And not because I am Librul, which I most definitely am. But because I am Brethren, the faith in which I was raised. And there are more Brethren in Nigeria per capita than in the United States, yes it's true.

And these children were targeted specifically because they are Christians.

So, what is a Peace Church to do? After a week and a week the story finally gets into the news cycle, it gets attention, after a lot of effort to get it there.

And then She Whose Name Must Not Be Spoken shows up to try to horn in. This is a rare instance in which I feel inclined to use the four-letter C-word, but I will refrain.

She's got plenty of company: Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and now George Will have all spoken about how stupid 'hashtag activism' is because it doesn't get anything done. Guess what? In one sense, they're right. It doesn't bring the girls back. It doesn't make the terrorists go away. It doesn't magically fix everything. It certainly doesn't shut them up, although Jon Stewart did introduce a new one last night for Rush which will make that one talk all the more. (Let's just say it's not friendly.)

But what it did to was get people's attention. It helped the world recognize that ]i]something was going on. You can't try to solve a problem until you admit one exists. So guess what? To that degree, it's important.

Then again, the GOP is currently allergic to community organizing. And, you know --

-- yes, I'm about to go there --

-- it's saving a bunch of dark-skinned females. Why would any of those talking heads care about that?

"Children's and Teen's Choice" implies there was some sort of poll (most likely online). I suspect some voting irregularities.
