I realize many people find "cute" stories about little ones to be boring or pushy, but I just need to share this little gem.My sister was visiting with her son and daughter-in-law in Michigan last week, finally getting some grandma time with their two girls, aged 6 and 4. (It had been over a year).
One day the four-year-old was outside in the playhouse, using her pots-and-pans. She put a load of pine needles in a pan and was stirring them around when Grandma asked "What are you making?"
"Spaghetti." she said.
"Well, that looks good." and my sister picked up a pine cone and and said, "Here, use this sausage."
The four-year-old gives her a look -- and deadpans "Grandma -- that's a pine cone."
So much for imagination.
