Webby for abandonment?

Surely the judge is not considering this.

More importantly, what is the statute of limitations?

If your kids can sue you, can you sue your parents? And they theirs? Will this wind up being whoever is the oldest is where the buck stops?

Just an impudent spoiled little rich girl, it seems. With a girl friend who has a lawyer for a father.

I never did see that the friend she is staying with is a girl friend. I wondered if she's staying with the boyfriend that her parents wanted her to break up with.

What a waste of the courts time and taxpayers money.

One thought about the high school tuition.
If the parents had signed a contract with the private school, they might be obligated to pay that - not because the daughter is demanding it but because of the contract. Around here, even if you kid withdraws from a private school, the contract is binding for the full school year.

I can't imagine an 18 yr old demanding child support from her parents.

If she was abused or neglected when she lived at home and ran away, then she and the family she moved in with should have reported the abuse to the authorities. That would be a criminal matter.
Obviously this was not the case.

The article I read said she spent two nights at her boyfriend's house before moving in with a girl friend in another town.

Thanks to tribephyl for the sigpic!

The conspiracy fiend in me is suggesting that this is simply a ploy to get the parents' insurance company to foot the bill ...

and aren't pain-and-suffering awards tax-free?? At least that's what they said in "The Fortune Cookie"

said no to Rachel Canning’s initial requests but scheduled another hearing April 22 to decide whether the Catholic high school cheerleader and lacrosse player was constructively abandoned by her parents and left or whether she chose to become independent.

Her name actually was "Sheila", and I always wanted one..

Everyone has a deep deep love for you, except the guy on the Batchelor. He has a deep like for you.

And except Fooner. He wrecked your bug and made us all swear not to tell.

(Sorry Fooner, I couldn't help it, it all just came spilling out, kinda like a Piñata full of water.)

Glad to see only the rebels remain!

"RE: I can't believe..."
Posted by kingfish on 03-12-14 at 05:03 PM
What could anyone have against you suggesting that Webby get laid? It's actually kind of a nice thing, and complimentary.

Unless you were telling him to get stuffed? And telling him where to stuff it? And suggesting that it be sideways?

You are lucky to have lived thru that.

"RE: I can't believe..."
Posted by tribephyl on 03-13-14 at 01:50 AM
Granted, it was definitely meant as a curative for his at-the-time demeanor, but I guarantee you it was not said or meant in a pillow biting sense. Sideways nor in a sling.

I think I might have lucked out because he wasn't around at the time. Although, I certainly would have offered the money to make it come true, if he did show up.

It's all in how you said it Tribe!
If you said "Webby, you need to get laid!" then you are suggesting he is acting like a pain in the arse and needs relief. Unfortunately, that would incite The robin hoods of OT to in fact let fly arrows in your direction. On the other hand, if you said it in a way to show your concern for his supposed lack of action, you are a good Samaritan and should be applauded for your efforts.

either way, that kind of comment is always funny so I will make sure and quiver my arrows, and hang up my slings
