on your Costerian degrees of separation. The February 20 episode of Let's Make a Deal the "pepper" contestant is my niece, Angela. Two quick backstories:
1) If you look closely, you may see her accompanying "salt". This is my cousin's daughter Stacy. They're about a year apart, but growing up the family referred to them as "salt and pepper" (Stacy is blond blond, Angela is dark-haired), so these costumes were a natural.
2) This episode was filmed back in November. My niece told us that there was an actual audition process not only to get to the trading floor, but also to be selected as a contestant. The over-bubbly persona must be maintained throughout the show. She also told us that she couldn't say what happened until the program had aired. (When she said this, I had an idea that one of them had won something.)
SPOILER ALERT It's actually a good thing that she didn't get the living room furniture, because she has no space for it in her apartment. She will have plenty of use for the home office. One additional note - When she told us that she was going to the show, I asked her to mention that her uncle shares a birthday with Monty Hall.
Ride, Moley, ride!
