Happy New Year!

Some of us are having problems logging in today. I couldn't log in until I tried to post in a thread. Then RTVW let me log in. Maybe this is Y2K in the year 2013.

I had the same problem for two days... I discovered that if I left the "Remain logged on when I return" button checked, it wouldn't sign me in as I normally always have it checked. When I unchecked it, I was able to log in.

Seems like a server glitch.

Thanks for the tip Puffy and Pepe. I had to leave the remain logged in box unchecked AND couldn't click preview to be able to post.

I think it may be some kind of old board software incompatibility with some Internet update.

This happened on another board I visit months ago. Not sure why it happens but seems to be something wrong with old keep me logged in cookies.

I don't think it is a cookie issue, and happens to me for both IE and Google Chrome.

Happy New Year to all!

I had trouble logging in also and tried Puffy's trick.

My resolution this year is to return to the workforce for good! For the past 10 years I have worked every possible way there is from part-time to full time. From stay at home to work at home. I've done seasonal even. I've had 9 jobs in that time! Goofiest job of them all? Photographing people with Santa.

My youngest is just over 2 and I have been home with him. I NEED to get back with grown ups! I need time away!

Anyway Happy New Year again!

I could log in - even though I have not logged out on my home computer in months, years maybe - but I couldn't post until I used Pepe's trick and didn't check the stay logged in option.

Odd. I never click stay logged in anymore, had no problem logging in and posting. What I have noticed the last two days seemed to me a cookie problem. When I'm not logged in all threads appear as having new posts (or unread), no updating (and kind of annoying). This corrects when I'm logged in to show marked and unmarked forums as I left them. But I was also getting a red wavy new messages every time I logged in, there were no new messages (have since emptied the inbox in case I actually do get any new messages).
