"More strange views of rape."

THis one isn't by a Republican -- which is why you see absolutely no mention of party affiliation in the article; it doesn't fit the "Republican war on women" trope. But it does fit with the stupidity of Todd Akin.(FWIW, the judge was appointed to the California judiciary by CA Gov. Gray Davis before his recall.)

Stupidity knows no party affiliation.*reads articles*
The body -- shuts down? So according to this self-appointed medical expert, if I really and truly don't want to be raped, my heart will stop beating because suicide is the preferable alternative and therefore any sexual interaction which does not end with my death must have been consensual?
...that's new.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the judicial aisle, Judge Scalia refuses to throw open the door for people having sex with animals by recognizing marriage. Or something.

"Stupidity knows no party affiliation."True. A post-election observation that goes in contradiction to views expressed pre-election (with some superficial justification), but still, true.

It's like hearing the voices that come in their heads!

What's really scary to me is that we have guys like this judge and Todd Akin, amongst many others, who are in authority positions and fully capable of influencing so many lives in the wrong direction.

What should really scare you is the probability certainty that what is revealed thru injudicious statements is just the tip if the iceburg in regard to opinions held by people in positions of influence.

Today, I learned that 'Southern' is a racist term.http://www.mediaite.com/online/gop-congressman-defends-todd-akins-legitimate-rape-comment-hes-partly-right/
Among other things.
It's in the Commentary section.

This one is a California law that dates back to 1872.California's top prosecutor will seek a change in an 1872 state law after an appeals court cited "historical anomalies in the law" when overturning a rape conviction of a man who allegedly pretended to be an 18-year-old woman's boyfriend in a dark bedroom.
Is it really you, honey?
