"Presidential debates, round two: Domestic & foreign policy."

The good news: both parties are already unhappy with the moderator. No questions will be answered, but now there's a chance of getting a few asked.

Also, the sausage vs. pepperoni debate has been tabled. Neither party wants to come across as supporting food.

They closed some pretty busy roads around these parts for this hoopdeedoo.

Interesting to see the Hofstra students' reactions afterwards. One said he would fact-check everything. Like!

There was a debate? JV and Tigers up 3-0 on Skanees was all that I was watching last night.

You should've watched the debate. It was tailored to people who are, supposedly, like yourself - undecided and/or independent.

There's plenty to dislike on both sides and I sadly remain undecided.

There is always a protest vote by using the write-in option, I did that the last mayoral election in NYC. Bloomberg's hypocrisy with term limits left me unable to vote for him and the democratic candidate, Thompson, was a inept, clueless nightmare so I wrote in another candidate.

I see you don't practice multi-tasking.

I watched both - using the TV for one and online for the other.

Nope....my other eye was watching our daughter so I was multitasking but could not do 3 things because 2 year olds really move.

During the last election cycle a thread like this would have generated 100+ posts full of commentary, gripes, flaming, etc. Now? Five posts.

and I'm not coming down until I'm a centerfold.

Centerfold? Maybe you could apply to be on Mitt's staff...

I'd say it's less a case of people disinterested in the discussion of the election, and more a case of all these eggshells the moderators (rightfully so) spread around here after the last presidential election.

Do we even have moderators any more? If I need something from IceCat, I'll contact him through Facebook.

No moderators?

Consider the possibilities

Don't consider the possibilities for too long.

Seriously, some of us have made a deliberate effort to take electoral topics out of OT after the "disaster" of 2008. The hostility level was just ramped up too high. I mean, that's why I posted about my limited involvement here until after the election.

But that doesn't mean I'm not watching, at least from afar.

Great. Now everytime I see Ayak's name, I'll think of Roz.

If you have to think of Roz, then you should also think of Dug from Up, who was (believe it or not) voiced by the same voice actor, the Oscar-nominated writer/director Bob Peterson.

Here's a clip of Dug in action:

So, when I am imagining your voice, should I channel Dug or Roz?

I don't know that I agree.

Yes, the moderators spread out the eggshells, but I think it's more a case where posters simply just don't feel like getting into it with one another.

12 years for this website is an eternity, kind of like dog years - this place is ancient and I think it has more to do with a wider variety of interests being out there that has grabbed people's attentions, such as Facebook. There are other Survivor sites that are not as frequently visited these days, not just RTW, so it's a matter of people finding so many different things to like and follow.

I see on plenty of other places where people are more prone to jumping on each other's throats, it's just that more people are going elsewhere to do it rather than to do it here on OT simply because we don't have as many regulars on a day-to-day basis as we did.

I agree with that as well. But really, people are like "I love Obama," and others are like, "I love Romney," and me, well I'm like, "I love wine."
