Well, OTers, I finally did it. 3000 posts!

When I read my first summary - a brilliant recounting of The Simple Life by ginger, all those many years ago, I would never have thought that I would be part of such a rich, diverse, nurturing group as the OT family. Let me thank you for all of the sage advice, acerbic wit and mind-boggling leaps of logic. Your genuine openness, coupled with your bruising snark has probably saved me a year’s salary in therapy bills, because I have definitely benefited from both during some tough IRL times.

So, OT folks, thank you. More than you’ll ever know.

Congrats. That it took you so long to get to that milestone is a reflection on your forbearance and wise restraint. It makes the posts that do get past your self-editing that much more valuable and enlightening.

Oh, if I only could show the same self restraint. My own swift assault on the five figured post level is analogous to the lack of impulse control I showed at your buffet. I see a definite parallel between my lupine plunge there and my self-editing. I chugged the Veuve Clicquot without tasting it (I think it was a Champagne because I burped a lot), and wolfed down all the lobster ravioli I could pile on my plate. This is polite company so I won't mention what I did to the desert. So I can't really say if any of it was good or not. Just that it went down and stayed down. And the aforementioned burping.

Next time remind me to savor a bite or two so I provide a proper review and accord you the compliments you deserve on your spread.
