I was just wondering, I don't play the trivia games using my OT nickname of "grit". Instead I use one of my e-mail aliases, "inabluefunk" when I play the trivia games. Is there anyone else on OT who also does this? I recognize a lot of the names but not all.

I have meant to come in and congratulate the winners and thank all the players for a couple of days now.

Shout out's to Starshine for winning two of the tournaments, Dweeze for resuming his record on the OT tourney, and Inabluefunk (who I now know is Grit), for making me "win" the last day to secure top spot. I really thought you had me Grit.

Dweeze should know that he's the impetus for me to return to the OT game this month.

See, I figured that, after I won twelve straight months (Aug 07-Jul 08), that consecutive-wins record would stand for a while. I should have noted that Dweeze finished second in the last four of those months.

But Dweeze has now won seven months in a row (Aug 08-Feb 09).

Had computer issues at the end of February which would have made it impossible to have good times. So I'm starting over in March.

If only - mine keep locking and I would get a pop-up saying my computer was infected. try and close the pop-up only led to three more pop ups.

You probably know this but...

Do. Not. Respond. to the popup about infections, no matter how much it looks like a real site. It isn't.

It cost me hours the other weekend cleaning out files. The symbol they used looked like my virus (the little shield) protection program, and I foolishly clicked it up.

It is bad.

I most of done something wrong. I played the first three but when I tried to play the rest it said I'd already played - *boggle*.

Question: how do you go from question to question fast tab or scroll down. Some of those times are incredible.

I always shoot for a good time. Here's what I do -

1. Have a good Internet connection speed

2. Scroll while you are reading the questions.

3. Read the next question while you are clicking on the answer for the previous question. This takes a bit of coordination but once you get the hang of it, you can shave a few more seconds off your time.

4. Skim the question and answers and try to pick up key points. However, this will backfire on you sometimes because you might miss some important wording in the question.

Yes, I do all those but I panic. I'll get the coordination with practice, I hope.

Oh and I don't have a scrolling mouse nor do I know how use the laptop mouse to scroll so I have to move the pointer to the margin to scroll and move it back to clip on the answer. That may take some time.

Sometimes you can use the down arrow on the keyboard to scroll - have you tried that?

I use page down a lot when I don't have a scroll, but you have to sometimes remember the question depending on where the page breaks are.
