As their browser dejour? Being the cutting edge Internet user I am, I switched over to Google Chrome. Nothing to do with it being better at downloading porn, oh no.* The only drawback I'm finding so far is that for some reason, it thinks I'm German.

No, seriously.

Anytime I'm at a site running some version of Google ads (or some other program that tailors the ads you get to who you are), I get German ads. Right now at the top of the page is an ad for a German singles site. This really bites, because one of the girls is hot and all I could say to her is "Sprechen sie Englisch?" (Do you speak English?), "Kann ich habe die spiesekarte?" (Can I have the menu?), and "Ich will habe kartoffle pfannkuchen" (I'll have the potato pancakes). And that's really not anywhere near enough to base a relationship on.

Unless they're really good potato pancakes.

I've tried changing the settings, but nothing seems to work. Anyone else using Chrome who has any ideas?

*Note: I have no idea if Chrome is better at downloading porn. It seems about the same as Explorer I don't do that kind of thing.

I had considered it since I am desperately trying to find one browser I can use for all sites. OT tends to freeze up IE (although that has improved since the servers crashed) and the grading portion of my school site won't work in Firefox. Then I read a review that talked about how wonderful Chrome was until, all of a sudden, it crashed and somehow messed up all the other browsers as well.

Decided that 2 browsers would be better than none.

Huh, interesting web browser. I too thirst for cutting edge. I'll update this post as I use it more.

EP: Eh...THUMBS DOWN. I'm hugely disappointed. I've been trying to edit this post while using Google Chrome, and it keeps logging me out. It also shut down my Synapse software (my laptop's mouse/scroll pad). What I did like was the user interface itself and the ability to block out the pop ups.

Huh...maybe I should try Firefox.

I'm not sure what the fascination is with German porn for you guys. My husband has a lot of relatives in Germany and I've been there twice. Going to the beach or pool grossed me out. The women don't like to shave their armpits. That American custom of shaving legs is starting to catch on over there, but only for the lower legs. They have no concept of "bikini wax" let alone a "Brazilian". I can't imagine what their porn looks like. My eyes! My eyes!
