Haven't watched it since Romber, but it brought me to OT during the one before Romber.
It's a sweet Tribe summer.

This said by someone who wrote her own season of it...Hey, I might write my own seasons of it, too, but at least I admit I'm hooked...

Because they want to torture you by compelling you to write about the show for a few more years and develop games and such... sheesh
But seriously it wouldn't be the same without you.

I always vow I will not watch it anymore. What a lie. I know exactly what you mean! Every season, I say to myself that I will not get drawn in, and yet every season, I sit through. I have no willpower whatsoever.

Wow. 7 years. I remember the first season so way more vividly than all the rest. As mentioned above, it certainly was a genre breaker. Kinda like opening up the floodgates of Hell.
I've watched every single season except for this past one. It seemed like it was becoming more of a chore than a pleasure.
I broke the cycle for Ugly Betty

...is something with a touch of cultural impact: Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band turns forty.

LAST EDITED ON 06-01-07 AT 12:09 PM (EST)And, in 1980, Cable News Network (CNN) made its debut as the first all-news station.
(eta) And... with a dose of historical irony... the liberation of Badghad by British forces in '41. King Faisal was returned to power.

I just finished watching almost all of this last season online. At work. It turned out to be much better than I thought and being able to watch one episode after another is the best.
Tribe rocked my sig!

Happy Birthday to the show that not only introduced me to the word "pagonging" but also to Ra!

Great call, KF. It is a worthy milestone.I remember hearing about the original Survivor (with Norwegians or Danes?) and a guy killing himself over being voted off. I thought, "man, I won't watch anything like that".
But then I accidentally caught a few minutes of the S1 finale. I didn't know Susan or Kelly. But I knew anger when I heard it.
I came in for good right after Skupin in S2.
Thanks for the fun, MB and Jiffy!

Our show. The show that brought us together. The show that gave us a naked gay tax dodger, a boy Scout Woman, various OBE personages, and the show that made Mistress Emydi our attitude adjuster, Wallflower our little Babushka, J a Slice of our lives, Tribe our Games man extraordinaire, and Estee a Republican.
And there are those who would condemn this Mt Everest of entertainment Achievement.

How different things were back then. I missed all the hype, and actually wondered if it was a documentary about survival. Hah!I missed the first couple of shows, but not one since then. The first finale was when I was at the cottage (read poor tv reception) but the neighbours and I all got together to watch. When the show was over the cards came out and we played and drank very late. We ran out of beer and started drinking Ouzo (from mugs!). I'll never forget my out-of-the-loop father making me help him chain saw a lot of wood the next morning. My head was not happy!
Happy bday Survivor! And thanks for being the seed for this community.

I started watching a few Ep's into S1, by myself, with funny looks from the rest of the family. It was fascinating to me. Then my (at that time) 9 year old DD started to watch with me. When S2 started DD and I had a date night and were hooked together. It was only a matter of Mike falling in the fire, and DW was sitting and watching - and that was that.
We've been watching since - until this last season, where we watch opening night, and then caught a little of the final show.
