BW3's chicken wings, and a beer.

Handcrafted by RollDdice. Do you know why they call it Veal? Because it wouldn't sell if they called it "Dead Baby Cows".

Hey Nolay, what is BW3? I see them listed all the time on NTN Trivia, but there's none here in the Mid-Atlantic.

We really need a Damon's up my way.

"RE: What's for lunch?"
Posted by NolayC on 05-10-05 at 04:29 PM
they used to be Buffalo Wild Wings and Wreck or something, now they are just BW3's. The BEST wings to be found. I try wings almost everywhere I go--no really I do. And these are the best. I even copied one of their sauces for my stock home sauce.

The beer was a yet unnamed local breweries seasonal.

We have one here in town, and the name on the sign is just Buffalo Wild Wings. Absolutely love the place, my fiance would eat there several times a week if he could. Love the wings, but the mozzarella sticks are the best ones I have ever tasted. We always have to split an order of those.

Darn, now you've got me craving wings!

What, no gravy and cheese product?

I will walk to the grocery store to buy a fresh salad. Thus, I will get both nutrition and exercise.

Hey, I was wondering what the "A-pize, no tell" was for Mother's day?

"RE: What's for lunch?"
Posted by Seana on 05-10-05 at 12:28 PM

It's a necklace, made of white and pink beads on one side, blue and pink beads on the other side and 3 green beads dividing the two. I wore it to work yesterday with earrings that DD made a while ago. She always smiles when she sees me wearing the stuff she makes. If I'd worn it today, I'd scan in a pic to post.

I love my kids so. much.

How sweet of you to remember!

"RE: What's for lunch?"
Posted by thndrkttn on 05-10-05 at 12:33 PM

Very Nice!

I remember being very pleased when my mother wore stuff that I made her or bought her.

And I thought it was so cute how your DS phrased it. I even mentioned it to DH. It made me smile and think of when my little brother Jeff was small. That's how he said things too.

It's funny. I don't want kids of my own but it doesn't stop me from completely enjoying others.

Three Cheese Stuffed Rigatoni
Stuffed rigatoni pasta filled with a creamy blend of ricotta, romano and mozzerella cheeses tossed with orange and yellow carrots, zucchini and red peppers in a fire roasted tomato sauce with accents of oregano and basil.

It was really very good.

And Friday, for a third week, I did manage to resist the Mac and Cheese.

Then you *must* check out Coppi's Pizza when you are in DC. (Around 14th and U St) They use to have a Coppi's up in Cleveland Park (more upscale) but I think it has since closed down and they are left with their flagship restaurant on U St as their only location. (They have a pizza magheritta with smoked mozeralla that is OUTSTANDING...and real insalata too.)

Kind of a cramped place though...too bad the one in Cleveland Park closed. It was much bigger.

Hmmm...I believe it is on the green line...U St stop? Shamefully, I lived in DC for close to ten years and I drove EVERYWHERE so my metro sense is not the best.

It is a place where more of the locals would go...I heard they were building up that area. I have been away for a good 5 years and back then the neighborhood left something to be desired but from what I understand it has been through some changes.

Lots of yummy places to eat in DC!

About 5 years ago I finally asked my Mom to show me how to make them because I was having a major craving. I hadn't had them since I was a kid either. I've only met one other person who has eaten Creamed Peas on Toast ~ you're the second.

Open can of peas, pour into pan without draining. Mix flour and milk in a cup. Bring peas to a boil and add flour/milk mixture. Stir until thickened. Serve over freshly made, crunchy *waves @ Coco* toast.

Honey Turkey and Muenster Cheese on Potato bread, the crumbs of Lay's Mesquite BBQ Chips, and a Dr Pepper on ice..

and a food related question... if you are having a soda on ice, do you put the ice in the glass, then pour the soda, OR slowly pour in the soda, so as not to eliminate all the bubbles, and then put the ice in?? so.. ice then soda, or soda then ice??

"RE: What's for Lunch? "
Posted by LibraRising on 05-10-05 at 01:10 PM
I've always put the ice in first -- that way it doesn't splash or overflow when you plop the cubes in the soda.

"RE: What's for Lunch? "
Posted by SilverStar on 05-10-05 at 01:13 PM
I always put the ice in first and then pour the pop (not soda ) If you put the pop in first, then when you plunk the ice in it sprays everywhere.

"RE: What's for Lunch? "

DH thinks I'm obsessive about it, and perhaps I am.. I pour soda slowly into glass, so all the bubbles don't go away, and then carefully, s l o w l y, drop the ice cubes in... so as to have maximum carbonation for as long as possible... I can't handle flat soda!!
