A couple weeks ago, I had a wonderful OT visit from Bruiser! Finally got around to downloading the pictures from my camera.So....here are Bruiser's adventures in Northeast Texas.
After a really long ride from Canada and Frisky's house, Bruiser finally got to my litte country road. He had to take a picture of it - said he had never seen so many trees over the road. Freaked him out a bit, I think. Something was muttered about horror movies and strange animals in the woods.
I immediately put him to work. The kids had managed to spill chocolate milk in the backseat of my truck. And it was beginning to stink! So....off to the car wash we went. Bruiser wanted to learn how to operate the steam cleaner.
After that, we ran a few errands and showed Bruiser some of the things around our area.
We stopped to include Bruiser in an annual tradition at our place - pictures in the bluebonnets. All over Texas you can see idiots like us stopping on the side of the road to position their kids, dogs, and other "family members" just right in the bluebonnets. Here we have Rotten 1, Bruiser, and Rotten 2 in the bluebonnets.
We then had to go to a birthday party for Rotten 2's friend. On the way, Bruiser made me pull over the car. I think the exact words were "Hey ya'll look at that!" Generally that kind of statement is followed by a death wish. Maybe that's what it was....
At the party Bruiser kicked back, relaxed and wanted to go swimming. Unfortunately, the pool was not heated and he was afraid he'd shrivel up. So ... he went and relaxed in the car until the party was over.
Apparently, Bruiser was the only one who was ready to leave when it was time to go. Rotten 2 showed Bruiser her best begging, pleading, pouty face.
After getting home, Rotten 1 decided it was his turn to play dress up with Bruiser. I guess he decided since it got chilly outside, Bruiser was a bit cold without clothes on.
After Rotten 1 discovered that Bruiser wears a size 7/8 shirt, he decided he must wear a size 7 pair of shorts too!
Rotten 1 did his best impression of Asrai and danced around Rotten 2's room with Bruiser. This kid was starting to really worry me at this point.....
Then it was bedtime....Rotten 1 and Rotten 2 were not thrilled to have to say good night to Bruiser. They knew in the AM he would be leaving.
And bright and early the next morning, Bruiser was off....He had plans in Memphis.
I am so impressed that the Rottens didn't bite Bruiser. The Corn Kids certainly would have.(*BTW... MY GAWD, the Rottens are cute. There appears to be a directly proportional relationship between cute and dangerous*)

Phfft, after a few weeks in Canada, especially during a couple of blizzards, he doesn't need any steenkin' clothes to keep him warm in Texas!
