I, Frisky, do hereby award the reader of this post eight consecutive hours of uninterrupted free time. No kids, no cats or dogs, no DH's or DW's, no chores, just you.

WWYD?

I'd go through this site and read each and every show summary that I've missed because I'm too busy to read them. I love show summaries but between life, OT and TV, I just don't have free time.

Then I'd go to the library and just browse...maybe take home a few books and lay on the deck reading. Oh, and I'd order a pizza, just the way I like it.

Then I'd take a nap.

Well, I know many of you will hate me because all I seem have these days is alone time, with DH travelling so much.

What I would really love is to get away somewhere. Even for just a long weekend. With 5 cats, it's not so easy. It's like having children

Hubby thinks that I am nuts because I refuse to go on vacation without the boys. These dogs are my children. If I could find a house sitter that the boys would like, I would go on vacation. But Mark especially is so darn sensitive and afraid of people that I am afraid to go off and leave him.

I like the pizza idea. I would love a really nice long soak in the jacuzzi tub and not having the tub get cold. Then I would read a book in there. Enjoy some wine all to myself then get my pool boy to give me a massage and then take an uninterrupted nap!

I would read a lot of the archived posts, so I could get to know everyone better. I would take a bubble bath, have a mixed drink, read a good, juicy romance, and just soak until the water got cold.

If there was any time remaining after that, I would start working on one of the quilts I want to make.

If I had 8 hours of me time? Assuming I didn't get caught up in PMing and IMing with my sistahs, I would drive to Lake Tahoe.
It's only a 3 hour drive from here, so 3 hours up, two hours of gambling and three hours back.

I would read a whole book. A new Harry Potter or Marian Keyes would do nicely. Or perhaps something by Phillippa Gregory.

I would have red wine and a variety of hot and cold appetizers on a tray next to me.

I would neither work on my thesis nor pack.

Well, it depends on where I am, but since it's only 8 hours, I'll assume I'm at home.

In that case, I'd sleep a little longer, then eat a big breakfast out somewhere like IHOP. Then I'd read some, probably take in a good movie that DW doesn't want to see. Maybe get a massage, followed by some good Mexican food and beer. Then a long hot bath, while reading some more.

Actually, that's probably more than the allotted 8 hours, but oh well.

Does this come with unlimited funds? Because if so, I would get my girlfriends and find a super nice spa. Massages, facials, mud soaks, manicures, pedicures, haircuts, and champagne and chocolate. The whole shebang.

Or just stick a needle in my eye. Same result, much less pain.

With a seven-month-old that nurses three (3) times in the night (every three hours, if you want to know), I would sleep and sleep and sleep and sleep and sleep.


If I woke up and couldn't sleep anymore, I would probably come on OT and banter without worrying about bolting for the baby's room.
