"Music needed........"

Posted by Asrai on 05-09-04 at 01:52 AM
I have an itsy bitsy favor to ask all my hip, smacktabulous pals: I am downloading some music for my road trip to see Femme. I have a ton of CD's, but what I'm after is a bunch of mixed CD's for the variety. Hey, I'm a Gemini, sue me!

I guess my requirments are 60's/70's/80's, classic rock/rock, just some great sing along stuff. It's gonna be me and my kiddos (13, 11, & 10) for a month long trip away from hubby and home. I don't want any country, as I already have a bunch of that, and it's easy to find on the radio.

Here's some examples of what I have:

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come on Eileen
The Waitresses - I know what boys like
ABBA - Dancing Queen
Van Morrison - Brown eyed girl
Soft Cell - Tainted love/where did our love go (9 min. remix)
Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax
Electric Light Orchestra - Sweet talking woman
" " - Evil Woman
Grand Funk Railroad - Some kind of wonderful
Cheap Trick - I want you to want me
J.Geils Band - Freezeframe
A-ha - Take on me
Toni Basil - Mickey
Duran Duran - Rio
Supertramp - The Logical song

So, can you peeps help a sistah out? I know you all have wonderous ideas!!!

Geminis aren't too bad, Scorpios are better. Just saying.
I will admit an embarrassing little tid bit, I'm not a huge Ricky Martin fan but whenever Livin La Vida Loca is on the radio, I turn it up real loud, and I sing and dance in the car all by myself. I don't care who sees or points or laughs. If I am at a stop light I will even sing to the car next to me.
Carry on.

P.S. Asrai, after you burn all of these songs could you send all of us a copy? These are great songs. You can call it the OT Jam and just send a copy to everyone who participated.

Yes, I agree, there is definitely something very special about Scorpios! The one I know....Mmmm, she's very sassy, naughty and downright mysterious! Okay, enough of that!

I actually like Ricky <gasp> but I'm easy, remember?!! The song that I love to belt out, especially with the kids in the car, is Marvin Gaye's Ain't no mountain high enough. They love to see me acting like a fool!!

I would be happy to send an OT mix to anybody who wants one...just PM or email me your addy. I aim to please!!

Psst? I like your 49er smiley...where'd you get it? *giggle*

You're probably going to laugh but the two songs that do that to me are "Everybody (Backstreets Back)" by: BSB and "I Wanna Be Bad" by: Willa Ford.
