I'm trying to refrain from posting what I really think until such time as I can rein it in to publicly acceptable levels of profanity.

I'm angry with my brother again right now, and it may be spilling over.

I have noticed, however, that there are usually fewer than 5 purely Odometer threads on the front page. That's not bad for a bunch of self-aggrandizing feebs.

It's SWOOP not SCOOP! In other words, if you can get a coveted post number on a thread by swooping in to nab it, it's a swoop. If you must post several attempts to get it, it's NOT A SWOOP, it's just a bunch of empty posts.

Really, I don't read any posts numbered from 65-72, nor do I read posts numbered 92-110. It's just not worth the load time on each of those posts only to find NOTHING but a clumsy attempt to get a stoopid number. It was cute back when we'd only get a thread that big once a month or so, but now we get several a day. Same thing with DAW threads, they used to be special, and rare. Now there are way too many to care, or keep up with. It's one thing to take months or years to reach a milestone number, but weeks? days? hours?

Having said that, carry on, I don't really care what y'all do to amuse yourselves. I'm perfectly content to skip what annoys me, and take the chance that I might just miss a post with some actual content.

Thank you, true. Swoops are impressive when they are a true swoop. Sami would be the queen of the true swoop. If you have to work for it, it's just not the same. This is a recent development that has kind of taken on a life of it's own.

But then again, what do I know? I'm old. I just move on past the stuff that I don't read.

I'm not one to run up my numbers...but I have been guilty of the scoop and having seen how often it was getting done..have definitely backed off that.
