>What's your favorite Beatle song?
I've always been partial to All My Lovin'. Although there were about a billion other great ones. All My Lovin is just very sentimental to me.

>Least favorite?
It's hard to "hate" a Beatles song. But I'm not a real fan of Lovely Rita.

>Who's your favorite Beatle?
Like misto, it was always Paul, but lately I'm finding a real fondness for John - who was always my least favorite.

What's your favorite Beatle song?

I have to agree with Misto. Abbey Road and White Album are my faves, but I really love everything they've sung.

Least favorite? Nope. Can't think of one.

Who's your favorite Beatle? I was madly in love with George.

Do you prefer innocent mop-top Beatles or long-haired Mahareeshi Beatles? Preferred the mop-tops, but again, loved George with long hair.

Rolling Stones or Beatles - who is better? BEATLES!!!

Kajagoogoo or Beatles - who has a more lasting ipact on popular music?
Kajagoowho? I'll stick with Beatles.

And most importantly of all - would you rather be in the KISS army or sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band?
Well, seeing as our lovely Pooh is now part of KISS, I'll put aside my love of everything Beatles and say I'll join your band!

Favorite Beatles song: "In My Life" (It was our first dance song at my wedding) (Honorable mention: "Rocky Raccoon", "Back in the USSR", "Tomorrow Never Knows", the Abbey Road side-B "medley", "Eleanor Rigby", and "Hey Jude")

Least Favorite Beatles song: Run for Your Life (It's just plain ol' bad. Hey, even geniuses have an off day.)

Fav Beatle? musically--Paul (yeah, I know his stuff post-1970 is schlock, but he was so in the zone in the 60's.)

Mop-top or Mahareeshi? Definitely mop-top.

Stones or Beatles? Definitely Beatles (sorry True babe, ya know I lvoe ya)

Lasting impact: Kajagoogoo or Beatles? While Limahl was ahead of his time, I'm still gonna go against common wisdom and say Beatles.

Kiss Army or Sgt. Peppers? Duh.

Fav Beatle? musically--Paul (yeah, I know his stuff post-1970 is schlock, but he was so in the zone in the 60's.)

Paul was like some athletes -- he only performed under pressure. His best solo album, IMHO, was the album that he did in 1974 with his brother Michael on lead vocals and the newly-formed second version of Wings at 10cc's Strawberry Studios, entitled "McGear" after Michael's stage name, which Paul did right after "Band on the Run" while he was trying to resolve his contractual battles with the other Beatles and EMI. I always loved to play the cover of Roxy Music's "Sea Breezes" (the first song on the record) for people while they tried to guess who the performer was; no one ever did. Other highlights (most of which feature lyrics by Michael and music by Paul): "Givin' Grease A Ride," "The Man Who Found God On The Moon," "What Do We Really Know?", "Have You Got Problems?" and "Sweet Baby." It also has a couple of duds -- "Leave It," the schlocky single, and "Simply Love You," a schlocky album cut. (Paul's last Apple release, the single "Junior's Farm"/"Sally G," was recorded at the same time -- too bad that those songs weren't included here.)

Because the album was NOT on Apple or Capitol (it was on WB, which recorded Michael's bands Scaffold and GRIMMS in the UK), the publicity for it couldn't feature Paul, and so the album stiffed in the US. In the 1990s, Rykodisk issued a US version of it on CD minus "Sweet Baby" (the B-side of the single); the only version on CD including "Sweet Baby" came from See For Miles Records in the UK and is out of print.

Worth picking up if you like McCartney. Unfortunately, it was followed by the ultra-lame Wings album "Venus and Mars."

>I keep hearing all this 40th anniversary beatlemania stuff.

You mean the 40th anniversary of the Ed Sullivan Show performance and U.S. Beatlemania. Beatlemania started in 1963; it just hit the U.S. later.

>What's your favorite Beatle song?

"Hello Goodbye" is my favorite of the pop songs. I love "It's All Too Much" because of George's rebelliousness against the Beatles "sound" (heck, it's just a love song to his wife, even though it doesn't sound like one), but "Hello Goodbye" has a classic arrangement and instrumentation mix.

>Least favorite?

No contest -- "Run For Your Life," John's pro-stalking song.

Well, I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man.
You'd better keep your head, little girl
Or you won't know where I am.

See, even in stalking, the Beatles were there first (most people cite the Police's "Every Step You Take"). (Glad to see that Fester agrees about this song.)

>Who's your favorite Beatle?

Anyone but Psycho John (although I give him high points for musical genius). I guess Marijuana Paul edges out Hari Krishna George.

>Do you prefer innocent mop-top Beatles or long-haired Maharishi Beatles?

Innocence is overrated. Musically, the Beatles were at their peak during the period when they were visiting India.

>Rolling Stones or Beatles - who is better?

The Beatles were not only the best, but they inspired everybody else to be better, including the Stones. The Stones began stagnating in 1969 -- right about the time the Beatles broke up (the last group recording, minus John (who had already quit), was George's "I Me Mine" in January 1970). Did you know that the Stones had recorded just about every song that was on Sticky Fingers and about half the songs on Exile on Main Street by the end of 1969, although they re-recorded them for release on their new label?

In the end, longevity counts for something, but sustained brilliance counts for more. As Neil Young would say, it's better to burn out than it is to rust. The Beatles may have burned out as a group after only 8 years (1962-69), but they left a bright light behind. (Anyway, without the Beatles to provide the model for him, Mick Jagger would be a dirty old man trying to pick up 20-somethings in a university bar somewhere in England.)

Soylent Green: recycling America, one person at a time.

Least favorite? Hey Jude ~ long story, it goes with my name and torture, I really do not like this song at all, or Audrey Burns the fourth grade freak for that matter, she ruined it for me for life. Biotch.

Who's your favorite Beatle? Um. Paul/John/George Cheating? Too bad.

Do you prefer innocent mop-top Beatles or long-haired Mahareeshi Beatles? Mop-top

Rolling Stones or Beatles - who is better? Beatles. No contest.

Kajagoogoo or Beatles - who has a more lasting impact on popular music? Beatles of course. I mean really. You only hear about Kajagoogoo on VH1 reunion show for cryin' out Christmas. The Beatles really changed the unoverse. Still do. Their music is timeless. They are still as popular today with the kids of today. Ask my daughter. DH and I had nothing to do with it. School peer pressure.

And most importantly of all - would you rather be in the KISS army or sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band? Sgt. Pepper for sure.

What's your favorite Beatle song?
That would be either 'Yesterday' or 'Imagine'

Least favorite?
'Run For Your Life' Like everyone says--not a nice song.

Who's your favorite Beatle?
George Harrison, always & forever.

Do you prefer innocent mop-top Beatles or long-haired Mahareeshi Beatles?
The Mahareeshi Beatles wrote beautiful, complex music & deep lyrics. The mop-top were more pop-top.

The Beatles are better musicians & more creative song writers. The Stones, however, are a great touring band.

Kajagoogoo or Beatles - who has a more lasting ipact on popular music?
Beatles. I have no idea what Kajagoogoo is, hence my answer.

And most importantly of all - would you rather be in the KISS army or sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band?
Sgt. Pepper's! I have spent hours looking at the cover of that album! I once thought it was the most brilliant thing I'd ever seen. I love their costumes on the cover.

First of all, click here for a link with a list of Beatle's songs for anyone who's interested.

My favorites include: "The Long and Winding Road", "I Will", "Birthday", "And I Love Her", "Back In The USSR", "Day Tripper", and I think I'll stop there, because there are so many more. That's what I get for looking at the list. I keep singing them in my head and think, "Yeah, I loved that one."

Least favorite?

"Why Don't We Do It In The Road"

Who's your favorite Beatle?

Paul

Do you prefer innocent mop-top Beatles or long-haired Mahareeshi Beatles?
