There should be an Average Jane. Let a plain woman have her pick of attractive men. This "nerdette" would much appreciate it.

Or let a guy have his pick of average women. I would love to see how it would work with a woman of larger build picking from a bunch of nice guys. I am not sure however that the net work would go for it.

As for the fate of the network's originally planned Average Jane edition, according to an NBC spokesperson, it's "on the backburner for now," with its production not having advanced past last summer's casting call stage.

I think the premise of the Average Jane show would be a HOT guy having to choose amongst "plain" women, and then "HOT" women would come in and try to cause trouble. This show would prove to be very predictable, as I believe the man would pick the "HOTTER" of the women. In the three seasons of Average Joe only once was the "Joe" picked and that was only AFTER he got a makeover, even when the "Joe" was given the chance he even picked the "HOT" one.
And after average jane, they could have average Tarzan?
