I'm just speculating... but I think the new hot girl is introduced to see which of the jocks takes the bait and start flirting with the new girl. This will be another indicator for Larissa to decide which of the guys are seriously interested in her and have their hearts set on her already. And which of the guys are just there to have some fun and will flirt with any hot girls around.

Ya, it's Brooke Burns, I recognized her almost immediately.

Btw, I don't believe Dog Eat Dog is cancelled, it's just always intended to be only a summer program -- NBC should be trotting it back out again in a few months along with Last Comic Standing 2, Restaurant 2, etc.

Yeah, that makes sense, and no doubt I'll watch them. Summers are lean without Survivor around. But the difference between Dog Eat Dog and some of the other summer shows is that I actually like it. lol
